Predicting the Big 10 West

Barely beating Oregon at home sure has got Husker nation more delusional than ever. Not to mention with so much help from the refs. Play a good defense first, then talk.

"Barely beating Oregon at home" you LOST TO NDSU AT HOME. If you think the Bison are better than the Ducks you are delusional. You couldn't even put up 60 yards on the ground and that's what Iowa does! You gave up over 200 rushing! What a joke.

I didn't do either one of those things. I sat at home on the couch and threw the remote. I'll be here the rest of the year. Iowa will win the West.

And Iowa wouldn't of lost to a division 1 team if NDSU would of missed the field goal. But they didn't and you were beaten. Oregon on the other hand missed their tries and Nebraska won. See how that works?
Do it once, I'll grit my teeth and let it go. Do it twice, and I just can't.

Would've is a contraction of would have. Would. Have.

Right now, I'm not feeling too many wins for our Hawks. I need to see how they respond this week. That will say a lot about their mental makeup this year and our chances going forward.

Its much worse than the East and the winner gets obliterated by tOSU or Michigan in the B1G title game. That's my prediction.

And we're going to find out a lot today because if Wisconsin can beat Michigan State then it's going to be a dog fight. And it becomes imperative that we beat them and get the tiebreaker.

We hear that from UNL fans every year.
He is just trolling. We all know that if Iowa rolls Rutgers today, then last week becomes just a bad week. Wisconsin won't win because of the schedule and lack of QB play. Nebraska will probably be 4-0 to start conference play. Then finish a tough stretch 2-3. Including losing at Iowa.

Bo Pelini isn't happening this year.

We're just going to have to let the year play out and see where the chips fall. If Nebraska has the kind of year I think they're going to have then the Hawkeyes are in for a long bad run.

Dare to compare records?
I'll answer for him and other Husker fans. (Their canned response anyways.)

It doesn't matter what Riley did at Oregon St. He was pretty good with the lack of talent and facilities. Now that he has both, he is going to dominate the west for years to come.

My God the man coach at Oregon State what do you think his record was going to be?

Has Kirk ever been an NFL Head Coach?
Lol. I told ya what the response would be. So predictable.

To answer your question, no he has not been a head coach. He had plenty of offers in the mid 2000's but decided to stay at Iowa. Thanks for not knowing Kirk's history.

You know the banter has been fun. But after Nebraska disposes of Northwestern in a extremely humbling fashion Iowa will know exactly what it's got coming for years to come. Bo Pelini gave you guys a false sense of reality but true reality is about ready to show itself.

If Nebraska beats NW like Husker fans are predicting and Iowa squeaks by Rutgers, then I'll be worried. But for the next 30 minutes, I'm not worried. Cheers.

My main point is records mean nothing. Pelini's record at Nebraska was a total charade. Anytime we played a team with a pulse he got his ass beat. What's more telling is this fraud had a winning record against Kirk and Iowa. But anytime he played Wisconsin he got obliterated.

Pelini was a total fraud who tried like hell to burn the place down while he was there and when he left. Toxic was the man's middle name.

This is right. In Lincoln, we don't miss Pelini at all. We didn't miss him during the lowest points of last season and the few people who mumbled something were generally straightened out quickly. He had 45 minutes to address his kids one last time and what does he do? Go on a profanity laced tirade was vulgar, embarrassingly ugly and focused on anything but the players and his last time to communicate with them, for the most part.

The most important game for the B1G West, the Huskers and Hawks is the Wisconsin/MSU matchup. As you noted, if Wisconsin loses, it benefits the other two significantly.

And look at our game last year? This was Iowa's best team ever against Nebraska team that was fighting to find itself. The team as a whole was there but our quarterback had yet to be convinced. And I don't know how much you people know about the pre bowl meetings but basically the team took ownership and read the riot act to the troublemakers and if they didn't get their crap straight they were told to get the hell out. Riley's got his team and the Huskers are rolling.
