President Biden should not run again in 2024

But Trump works....better hope Trump is the nominee. Anyone else and Joe is in trouble.
Yeah, that GOP field is a star-studded one! Every one of them is quite capable of leading American into the 20th century! (With tax cuts for those with money, of course!) Nikki and her “psyche evaluations for all candidates over 75!”... that’s the common sense I find.........common.

True....but any of them have a better shot than Trump. IMO Trump has zero shot in a general, he caps out at the mid 40's. Hard ceiling for orange man.

Joes numbers are what they are....can't gas light and sugar coat them away.

America deserves the leadership it gets! Vote Republican and you are voting for hard times for most Americans. Fact. Johnson, Clinton, Obama and Biden = Good Times for America!
Reagan, Bush, Bush and Trump = Good Times for Corporate America...
Make your choice.....it’s black and white.

We'll see. Lot of folks banking on it for sure :)

And by "lots of folks" you mean most of the GOP.

Most Democrats would love to have Trump fail in the primaries, because it would eliminate him from the national conversation and remove the existential threat he poses to the country.

Unfortunately, he owns the GOP and will be the nominee.

Party leadership to include Joe would love to see Trump on the ballot.

I have never seen the "unlikable" about Kamala. I think she's bright and pretty funny in interviews. Granted, I generally agree with what she's saying. I have never seen a VP despised, from the start, as she has been. Ever. Again, I wonder why.
As much as she laughs uncomfortably at what she's saying, she must think she's pretty funny too.

I've watched many interviews with her, and it's just cringe, you have to be blinded by partisanship to not see that.

As far as hated from the start, have you forgotten Dan Quayle? Not the brightest bulb either.

No matter how much you don't believe it, it is possible to not like people based on their personalities.

Sadly we put too much emphasis on personality, but as @alaskanseminole just stated very well, it's human nature, when someone is in charge, you want someone you'd follow into battle.

I have no doubt that Amy K would be a stellar VP or even president, but she also suffers with likability and that sucks.

I just don't get the cringe. It isn't partisan. There are Democrats who I don't care for but she doesn't bother me. Quayle was despised from the start. He was laughed at because of Benson's debate comment and misspelling potato - correcting a child who spelled it right. Kamala has been straight up despised. It's silly.

Republicans are still pissed over the fact that Nixon was a crook and had to resign or be impeached. They have never forgiven Democrats for embarrassing them because of Nixon’s lawlessness. This is all part of a 50 year revenge plan.

His policies are great but he's old!!!

That's all his detractors have...his age. IF he would die in office, which I highly doubt he does, and people think Kamala would ruin the country, it just adds to my belief that we aren't bright as a populace. She would continue on with Democratic policies, and protect the Constitution.

Yeah, that's awful.
It won’t change my vote as there is no way I’m voting GOP in this current condition. I’ll hold my nose and pull the lever for Biden/Harris.

But I think some of you are underestimating this as an issue and how many voters are feeling about it. The stakes are pretty damn high to be blowing it off.

I'm NOT underestimating it. At all. I just think we're not a very smart populace. I learned that when Bush beat Gore because Al was "boring" after 8 pretty damn good years of Clinton. Now it's just because "old" instead of policies. I read guys on here all the time and I realize Biden's age has been made into a huge thing for a lot of voters. It's not for me.

Mom...why would anyone who has watched the GOP political process over the past decade think otherwise?
Republicans love their traitors!
Your last sentence is your usual daily lighted match onto the fire. Silly stuff as always.

We observed a much younger Ronald Reagan suffer the early stages of Alzheimer’s while sitting in the Oval Office....and Biden is nowhere near that level of incapacity. But remember.....Nikki is out there saying she’s gonna “psyche eval” all politicians 75 years and older! o_O

But probably not until she passes her “term limits” legislation! :)
And Ron De Santos is gonna invade Mexico with US military! (And leave’m “stone cold dead”).
And Senator Scott is telling us all, “Hey, come on guys... I’m not really that gay!” And Ramiswamy is saying whatever The Donald wants him to say!

See, even you proved my point; Biden is being graded on a curve. If Trump didn't exist, would Biden be the best choice for President in 2024?
He is getting graded by a curve. In the direction that places higher expectations on him. Biden has gotten the most substantial legislation passed in at least a generation. Even without Trump, his body of work has exceeded anybody in decades. And for that I give him credit and it is why he has earned my vote again.

Who else is even close?
In May Biden was polling at 62% of Dem voters in Iowa and he’s fallen to 49% now …
His gaffes are becoming more frequent and obvious- and they’re self inflicted despite his staff’s best efforts.

Read the latest polls mom, and convince me otherwise. Trump is a traitor and should be convicted as one. Republicans, according to recent polls, love their traitor as their standard bearer.
I can say it because I am a Democrat....and I can call a spade a spade and not fear Party retribution!

But they're just gaffes. So who cares?

Yes the stakes are high for all of us who care about this country beyond party and candidates.

I think it’s real, it’s not made up. But we disagree.

I will say, Feinstein and McConnell are not helping Biden with the age thing. McConnell spacing out and Feinstein is basically a corpse at this point and I think people believe that could be Joe in a few years. More and more are saying this generation needs to clear out.

I’m talking Trump. But, can’t wait for your rationale of you had no choice when voting for Trump next year.

They've certainly more difficult on him.

The other hypocritical thing that bothers me is that almost nobody was questioning Trump's age while he was POTUS. As SOON as Biden was president age suddenly was a problem for Republicans. That and the border...2 weeks after he took office.

No one.

But we're still months out from the first primary.

Lets see what happens in the first few primaries before making any definitive statements.
It doesn't matter. No GOP candidate gets the nomination without bending over for the MAGAts. There is no path to the nomination that doesn't include them. There is zero hope in the general without them - they're the base of the party. The GOP is stuck with Trump or Trump-light as long as they embrace and f'n EMPOWER MTG, Jordan, Boebert and others like them. You want a third party? Kick those ass-hats out and make THEM form a third party. That's the GOP's only path to redemption...and they'll never take it.

Well, the GOP are surely hypocrites on many issues. For me, there are so many other issues of concern with Trump his age barely registers.

Dishonest
Totalitarian
Corrupt
Self-dealing
Narcissistic
Immature
Stupid
Xenophobic
Age

Stop trying to start ish…not voting EITHER of those guys as I’ve said 100 times.

That's my point with Biden...his policies and what he's done are pretty solid, so they bitch about age. Doesn't seem fair.
