wasn't referring to you.I NEVER said there was a problem I did "imply "IF there was a problem because it has happened before! Not just the pregnancy thing, the Pierce thing, the Kingsberry thing among a few others. It may explain the last 3 games. As far as pure speculation 3/4s of the comments on the site are speculations, who's going to stay who's going to leave, why is Fran doing this or that.
They were too busy watching their head coach whine, cry, and stare down the officials when he doesn’t like a call instead of coaching them up.too bad they couldn’t put that anger into playing defense
Cmon now. Numerous people on this site actually thought that the stare down was a good thing, and somehow helped. As if......They are too busy watching their head coach whine, cry, and stare down the officials when he doesn’t like a call instead of coaching them up.
Well… they now have the rest of March to themselves to talk it out …It was implied somewhere else that there is some internal conflict on the team. Anyone have some insight into this?
Agree, I don't have inside info either but the chemistry between the players seemed off for the last three games of the season.I have absolutely NO info on this, but just going by body language and attitudes the last few games, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there was some internal conflict amongst the team.
Not sure it's fair to suggest trouble on the team without evidence, even on an anonymous message board. Ugly rumors get started that way.I NEVER said there was a problem I did "imply "IF there was a problem because it has happened before! Is that any way to talk about college b-ball's oldest-ever PG?Connor not inviting some players to Covid workouts has reared its ugly head
I don't know if this was a side effect of the supposed internal conflict or not, or whatever is going on .... but very early in the game on Thursday night, Kris was in the general vicinity of a potential defensive rebound but he just stood there and watched an Auburn guy grab the loose ball. He didn't even take the tiniest step towards it.Kris definitely appeared disconnected. I know the kid rarely smiles but he had a different demeanor the last couple weeks . None of them really looked enthralled with the game. Except for Payton! Love his attitude
BAUWell… they now have the rest of March to themselves to talk it out …
I saw the same thing...even early in the game when guys should be fired up... flat-footed staring at defensive rebounds while Auburn guys went after them. Fran may be losing more than just some of the fans. Having your kid, much less two of them, on the team is always tricky.I don't know if this was a side effect of the supposed internal conflict or not, or whatever is going on .... but very early in the game on Thursday night, Kris was in the general vicinity of a potential defensive rebound but he just stood there and watched an Auburn guy grab the loose ball. I remember being stunned and frustrated at the absolute lack of energy or awareness on that sequence.
There was at least one other time I recall that same scenario with Kris. Don’t remember the game, later in the B1G season, big game. Connor jumped all over him (and rightfully so).I don't know if this was a side effect of the supposed internal conflict or not, or whatever is going on .... but very early in the game on Thursday night, Kris was in the general vicinity of a potential defensive rebound but he just stood there and watched an Auburn guy grab the loose ball. Daddy ball ruins chemistry at any level of sports. How many actual people are conversing above? 2 or 3? EDIT - never mind, figured it out. The reference to another thread is what tripped me up. I do think there is a problem with the playing time for Patrick.
Yeah something more than basketball is going on. No idea what it is.I have absolutely NO info on this, but just going by body language and attitudes the last few games, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if there was some internal conflict amongst the team.
And yet there haven't been any players announcing that they're leaving. If the "daddy ball" atmosphere was so toxic you think there would be some announcements.Daddy ball ruins chemistry at any level of sports.
Wonder if you have made a similar post for Pat and his effort levelI don't know if this was a side effect of the supposed internal conflict or not, or whatever is going on .... but very early in the game on Thursday night, Kris was in the general vicinity of a potential defensive rebound but he just stood there and watched an Auburn guy grab the loose ball. Good thing, Connor never made a mistake. sure that helped team chemistryThere was at least one other time I recall that same scenario with Kris. Don’t remember the game, later in the B1G season, big game. Connor jumped all over him (and rightfully so).
Yes it's most noticeable in Kris and it's more than just 3 games, 5 or 6 at least. I thought it was just something with him but maybe it's more. Who knows.Kris definitely appeared disconnected. I know the kid rarely smiles but he had a different demeanor the last couple weeks . None of them really looked enthralled with the game. Except for Payton! Love his attitude
I have actually. More than once.Wonder if you have made a similar post for Pat and his effort level
You gotta be phuquin' kidding me, right?I think Fran's '2 Foul Jail' is nearly as big a wedge maker in any team cracks as his sons' playing time.
How many times in the past 2 years did Kris (or anyone else) pick up an early 2 fouls - rightfully or not - and was left to rot on the bench until after halftime?
Way too many.
That would hardly be earth shattering since there are countless posts on this site about that very subject, which I'm sure your aware. Pmac also isn't supposedly a first round draft pick, which just MAY raise the level of the fans expectations of said player?Wonder if you have made a similar post for Pat and his effort level
Besides leading the team in scoring Kris led the team in rebounding too at 7.9. What exactly are your expectations if 7.9 boards a game isn't good enough? 9? 10? Kid must have had a great season if people can remember the handful of lapses over a 33 game season FFS. Shame on him for not being perfectThat would hardly be earth shattering since there are countless posts on this site about that very subject, which I'm sure your aware. I believe it was Wisconsin. He just stood there, watched, and didn’t move to a defensive rebound. There was at least one other time I recall that same scenario with Kris. Don’t remember the game, later in the B1G season, big game. Connor jumped all over him (and rightfully so).
Refresh. Pregnancy thing?I NEVER said there was a problem I did "imply "IF there was a problem because it has happened before! I guess you don't know about high school. Any number of coaches on that level have had their kid starting and often winning State.Daddy ball ruins chemistry at any level of sports.
First team All Big 10 and 3rd team AA, clearly didn't do enough for this team. That would hardly be earth shattering since there are countless posts on this site about that very subject, which I'm sure your aware.
