How are the teams decided for the Cotton / Orange bowls?

Reason I ask is because the Cotton would be driveable, the Orange, not so much.

God willing we survive the B1G championship game, of course.

Thanks

Yes, they try to make it so the lower ranked team wouldn't have home field. So if Iowa were matched up with Oklahoma, they would play in the Cotton if OU was higher and probably the Orange if Iowa was higher.

so called experts are saying if iowa got in at 13-0 would be a 3...most likely AT&T stadium against Bama...,,would jump Oklahoma who has no conference title game...

Tuscaloosa to Dallas is 586 and Tuscaloosa to Miami is 790, so I suppose we'd play Alabama in Dallas and Clemson in Miami if we were the lower seed. If Clemson played Oklahoma it would be in Miami if Clemson is higher seed and in Dallas if Oklahoma is the higher seed putting us in Miami against Alabama. This assumes Oklahoma, Clemson and Alabama are the three other teams which is far from certain and we are a 3-4 seed, which seems more likely than us being a 1 or 2 seed but that could happen too I guess. In that case both Oklahoma and Alabama are closer to Miami and Dallas than us.
