Just wanted to add being on the road away from your "comfort" zone happens to every athlete on the planet at some point in time, beginning in Middle School primarily. The Ryder Cup is no different. People want you to fail. If you're good enough, you overcome that and make the Home crowd go home unhappy. Happens every day in every sport on the planet.
Europe played some pretty damn good golf (haven't seen all the "total" numbers as far as birdies and such), but at the end of the day, they got outplayed, and they lost.
Those "naughty" American fans didn't make them collectively lose. Pretty simple really.
