Renaldo Spencer-Rodriguez Iowa State

On the ISU board they say this is OK because Iowa wrestlers are thugs, anyway. I guess we have kids throwing punches and get suspended all the time?

I don't recall an Iowa wrestler ever throwing a punch. Wasn't it St.John that had that kid from Michigan State throw one and miss?

Plenty of Iowa guys have given shoves and what not, but punch? Don't think so. This kid needs to be done for the year. People were all excited when Cox drilled Wellington into the table, this is FAR worse than that, IMO.

Sloe- remember Grants match. Ugh

Short tempers and lack of self control. Harrington, this clown(pun intended), who's next?

Blaming actions on Iowa wrestlers is stupid, but Miller deserved that punch. Surprised to see anyone say otherwise.
I think that says a lot more about you than it does everyone else that so far has chimed in, but maybe that's just me. So congratulations for being that one guy that's brilliant when everyone else on the planet is wrong.

I don't have much of a problem with the intensity Iowa brings but I've heard your coach has tried to fight during a match or 2 in his college days and gilman May have not thrown a punch in the mizzou match but that jump back he did looked like he clearly had some intent to injure waters nardo is a fellow New Yorker I'll back him like I would paddock he had a moment things happen I'm not condoning his actions but to call names and say he should be out for the year really? Your guys rivalry must really run deep

Just watched the match. Miller shoved him at the end while he was down, RSR retaliated with a body bump, Miller retaliated with a hard shove, and RSR threw a punch.

Not worse than Cox/Wellington, imo--Miller was not in danger of having his neck broken.

The right call, the right punishment. Not discounting anyone else's opinion--that's just mine.

Holy shit. Ever heard of a period?

Thanks for the explanation. Now, at least, we know you can't be objective.

Or it was a tight match with time running out and Gilman made a poor decision to try and get out of Waters stall ride. Usually like your posts, but Gilman was trying to win. Dude from ISU threw a punch (and connected) after the whistle blew...very different set of circumstances.

Honestly, Ian Miller kind of got what he deserved. You want to push off of a kids face at the end of the match and again after he's up to his feet after the whistle? Not sure what else he should have expected with those Bush League antics. ISU kid gets penalized worse by the rules which is fair, I don't think you can call a closed fist contact any other way.

What Gilman did to Waters was significantly worse than this.

Lots of chest pump from them.

That "Juduko" guy is a real prick, tho. Without provocation... Iowa gets mentioned in an attempt to compare the two schools. ISU isn't relevant and the reason why is the HC. The mention of the Hawks was a direct chance to deflect criticism away from a kid that apparently has a few "off the mat" issues.

Guess that explains why our guy(NYWRESTLER) is excusing his behavior.

What is the punishment? Don't think that's been made clear, or has it and I missed it?

The guy flat out reared back and punched him in the head. For damn sure that is dangerous, with intent. Just because he didn't get knocked out or something doesn't make it any less dangerous. Not trying to be a drama queen, but some punches have unintended consequences, and sometimes it ends up really, really bad. Hell, he could possibly be charged with assault could he not?

There have been thousands upon thousands of "shoves" after the whistle in wrestling matches, damn few punches like this one thrown because of it.

I've noticed he hates Iowa with all of his being. It's borderline obsessive in this case.

His off that mat issues are none of my business first I ever heard of them was from the cyclone board not excusing his behavior by any means just not gonna crucify him for it what he did was wrong but I think the punishment fits

Another black eye for KJ. On top of being an historically bad ISU team now the admins get to deal with a wrestler going full contact in a match. Not the sort of attention KJ wants. The ISU admins appear to be ok with losing, but I'm not so sure they will tolerate KJ's team being completely out of control and embarrassing the entire university.

Juduko isn't a prick because a prick is the best part of a man. He's a blowhard who likes to think that he's right all the time and everyone else is wrong. Reminds me of my sister-in-law. Maybe it is my sister-in-law.
