Taylor and OSU have brought in RBY, Valencia, and now McKenna. Clearly Taylor knows that a strong RTC is important for development and recruitment from his time at PSU. Why isn’t Iowa doing more to bring in athletes to the HWC?

57-Lee
61-Desanto
65-Eierman(is he still competing) why didn’t Iowa retain Woods?
70-?
74-Young/Otoguru
79-?
89-?
92-Warner
97-?
125-?

Why not go after:

Nolf
Marsteller
Hidlay
Cox
Etc
Nolf retired correct? Cox has to be close to retirement but maybe bringing him in would benefit Gabe. Marsteller is probably near the end of his career. No clue on Hidley.

other than that the why not probably has to do with the guy at the top of the Iowa program.

I’d leave Cox alone. And anyone else Kevin Jackson has touched. He’s got a great ability of turning programs and people into liquid shit.

ISU
Cox couldn’t even manage his weight with KJ
and now Michigan

J'Den retired as well.
Yeah we need to forget about Jaden he couldn't walk without a cane in St Louis.

Right now we have a 65kg Japanese gold medalist that's here for 30 days to roll with Spencer and others. They often bring in guys that nobody here knows about which isn't anyone on here's fault. I prefer building the club within reward the hawks and with recruiting picking up that will pay off in 3 or 4 years in the meantime bringing guys short-term rentals to help our current team

I don’t disagree with building from within but I still think we should be trying to bring in people from other clubs. I guess depending on if our transfers plan on staying around it is sort of the same thing.

Pretty sure Woods left on his own accord.

Having higher end recruits that have more successful college careers is certainly a way to improve. A short cut in doing this is keeping transfers like Teemer, Buchanan and Parco. I think they should also bring in some "outside" people as well. PSU had shown no hesitation in having the best guys possible to enhance their club regardless of where they started, including from their biggest rival.
