Rugamba makes it official - he's transferring

Total misrepresentation of that play. He showed great effort in ripping the ball away from the receiver; hardly a gift. He also had a couple very physical PBUs in that game.
And he was burned at least two times but due to a severe under/overthrow he lucked out, either one of those plays hit and we don't win that game. Now, all CB's get beat, and some multiple times a game but let's not act like he was Josh Jackson in that game or all season.

One to Sargent, which is why I mentioned him. Not sure on the other.

There might still be one more scholarship that opens up between now and August.
Just guessing but any word on TE Nate Vejvoda? Is he on scholly? Given the depth at TE and lack of PT, wondering if he's a candidate to move on?

Wait, you're telling me that a true freshman playing in a night game against a top 5 opponent didn't play like a unanimous all american? Well shoot, how didn't I see that before...

Seems like Manny is struggling more with the mental aspect of things right now and not totally focused. Hope he gets things turned around at his next school.

This must mean that OJ and Hankins have moved past him along with probably one of the Frosh (Creamer). Too bad because he has a lot of potential as a player. He really seemed lost out there last year and a step or two behind most of the year.

It appears that the difference was Jackson’s unmatched work ethic and time commitment. Even now I’m Green Bay, I’ve seen a couple things discussing his dedication to film and constant improvement.

Seems like a classic case of hard work beating talent when talent doesn’t work hard and a microcosm of what the Iowa program is all about and strives to be.
uhhhh.....
Jackson slacked his first 2 years and didn't show much of a work ethic......

So you think that after Josh’s second year of slacking he said to himself “I’m going to start trying now!” and became a consensus All-American and Thorpe finalist? Pretty sure it doesn’t work like that.

And it’s definitely not comparable to somebody who had locked down a starting spot (and place in Hawkeye history) going into their sophomore year, and by the time they were going into their junior year, had been suspended, lost their starting role, and had their position coach calling them out for having lost focus

well, that's what kittle said.....i'll take his word over yours ;)

Kittle:Josh, from his play, is obviously very good. You can just watch the Ohio State game and that’s his highlight reel. You can ask him, but I feel like his story is similar to what I told you last year about me; wasn’t playing as much and made some decisions to change some things and then he started playing a lot this year and last year. I could tell the difference from him during his first two years in college versus his last two years. It’s a complete difference in his attitude and work ethic. He sat down and decided what really matters to him.

@H4wkfan4life This quote describes the experience and maturity growth that most humans go through as they make their way through college. Nothing in it puts the word “slacking” into my mind
