Russian Invasion YESTERDAY! - How Did It Go?

They were stable UNTIL the US overthrew the democratically elected government. You oppose insurrectionists here, but, love them over there, especially when they're neo-Nazis. Today, they are anything BUT a democracy. Zelensky placed under house arrest his biggest opponent. He shut down the 4 largest news organizations that were critical of him. He was about to arrest Poroshenko until the fascist from Trudeau's government, Freeland, intervened. She's the one who froze bank accounts of her people. Spare me your version of democracy.
I have identified a Russian bot.

On the other hand, military exercises are never open ended - when will they take their 149,000 troops (latest estimate) and fleets back to Russian soil and waters?
(Corrected new troop level.)
Russia said the exercises would end on the 20th. They announced this awhile back.

It’s disgusting. When did the GOP become Putin lovers? Heck they used to be the Russia hawks
I don't think anyone is rooting for Russia. I do think me, and a few others, are skeptical of all the hysteria being generated by US politicians. European leaders have said pretty much the same thing.

Sure seems like some people in here are rooting for Russia.
I don't know what they are rooting for. Even if Russia invades Ukraine and annexes its territory, the US is not going to commit combat troops and go to war. There will sanctions and Norad 2 closed (presumably). Now if Putin moves on to Poland...then that is a different story

They just failed to announce the maneuvers would be routed through the Ukraine:)

Not really funny I know - this could be the worst fighting in Europe in 70 years.

Just heard the first report from Pro-Separatist channels that military vehicles are moving from Russia into separatist controlled territory.

Cable new shows debating whether Ukraine leader should leave nation for a meeting or stay to inspire his country. Not earth shattering news but interesting that something that would normally not draw any notice may wind up influencing how hard the Ukraine may (be able to) fight.

NORAD is still going strong.

Nord Stream 2 is the new pipeline alongside Nord Stream under the Baltic.

RIA is quoting the head of the Russian-backed Donetsk People's Republic responding to the question of whether things are moving towards a war, and he says "unfortunately, yes" #Ukraine #Russia

According to U.S. officials to WSJ, they expect a Russian attack on Ukraine in the next few days & also believe that the prospects for averting the war are very dim.

The Putin-Gang posting here seems to ignore this simple reality:

If Mexico decided "hispanics" were being mistreated, and decided to "occupy" parts of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona, then started shelling to incite us into war, the MAGAs would lose their shit.

But when it's Putin and Russia doing this to another sovereign nation, they're all yippy-skippy with it.
The problem with your profoundly ignorant argument is that it is Kiev, in violation of the Minsk Accords, that has been shelling the Ukraine separatists every day for 8 years. It's an autonomous region. That region voted overwhelmingly for Yanukovych and were Russian speakers. So, the neo-Nazis said kill 'em.

Why isn't Washington, France and Germany pressuring Kiev to implement the agreement? The fact is this, NATO/Washjington, from 6K miles away, wants to deny Russia their only warm water port to contain Russia access to international waters, to isolate them. We've seen this the world over...China via Taiwan, Malacca Strait, Cape of Horn, Iran, Venezuela.

Gaddafi had ALREADY massacred civilians.
Libya had the highest standard of living in Africa. No, an open slave market because of our destabilization. He was going to create a currency system for the African Union. Banksters took him out. But, you're a fascist, so it was a sensible hit.

Did we do anything about Saudi Arabia and UAE mass-murdering civilians in Yemen? Yes! We sell them weapons and provide logistics to those bastions of human rights to carry out their genocide so Washington controls the bab al-Mandeb Strait leading into the southern end of the Suez.

No

It's Ukraine's territory.

Nope, Russia since Catherine the Great. Ukraine got a say in' 91. Crimea did not at that time. They did in '14 and voted over 98% to secede. Why would you want them under Ukraine? The neo-Nazis hate Russian speakers which Crimea has over 66%. It will be a bloodbath. Haven't you neo-liberals f'ed the world up enough? Mind your biz!

Again: It's Ukraine's territory.

Putin wants it to guarantee his access to Crimean ports, which he needs to have a functional navy year-round w/o iced-in ports.

NOPE. Washington wants it to isolate and contain Russia. Freedom...ain't it a bitch. Just like our Founders splitting from King George.

98% certainly seems like an organic number.

Someone is upset with Germany.
How does supplying Germany with the cheapest natgas from the most plentiful proven reserves in the world undermine European energy security? The Netherlands have depleting resources.

Or is al this a desperate attempt from a paranoid state to never allow Russia and Germany to become close. Lord Ismay of NATO said the goal of NATO is to "keep the Soviets out, Americans in and Germany down". George Friedman of the CIA biz intel firm, Stratfor, said the same thing. They fear the great German industrialists merging with Russia's bountiful resources. Doesn't matter much...they have pivoted to China.
