Rutgers B1G Schedule 12/8 Iowa at Home

What I meant by being at Rutgers is that it's a home dual for Rutgers. If the match was at Iowa I'd pick Kem.

If you agree Lewis has AA potential then how can you say it's absurd?

At 157 next year it's Nolf by far and then there's a bunch of really good kids

Kem, Lewis,Lavalle,Berger, Pantaleo, Smith and Is even throw a motivated Clagon into the mix as my AA's. I'm probably missing someone else.

Pretty darn good weight class.

There is a big, big difference between "potential AA" and a predicted finalist, even top-3.

Kem has beaten those guys you post - multiple times. Your boy has not. Going off history and matchups, which is all we really have, Kem is by far the favorite, unless of course you think Ed Cooper was better than Kem.

As you said, you shouldn't take that as a slight on Lewis.

Lewis gonna win it all bro! He called it on Twitter after allo_O

He's auditioning to be Downey-lite

They must teach Douchebag 101 at Iowa Central. Team Pic:

This thread turned out to be far more entertaining than I ever imagined. Especially with Downey in the RU lineup and IMAR relegating Marinelli to a backup role. Nice job to all involved.

Ray Rice is the OP's hero. Don't you dare talk smack about him. He will knock you out!

- Nick Suriano..ranked top 3

141- Mike VanBrill...17-5 as RS last season has some solid wins including a FS win over Jack (NC State) 3X AA AA out injured
149- Eleazar Deluca..2016 NCAA Qualifier
157- Richie Lewis...Ranked top 10 and just made the U23 World team in FS
165- John VanBrill...2017 NCAA Qualifier
174- Jordan Pagano...2017 NCAA Qualifier

Match will be a sellout on December 8. This match is going to be close and just the chance of beating the mighty Hawkeyes has the State of NJ buzzing! Rutgers Wrestling History has been awful for so long in a Great Wrestling State and this match will be the biggest NCAA Dual in NJ history.

Rutgers is game at 41,57,65,74,& 97 so IOWA better be ready to go or they could come out of this dual with an L. Should be a good dual.

The RAC is an old tin can. A small crowd raises the roof, a sold out crowd like they are expecting for Iowa, Penn St and OSU is deafening. Those who attend will enjoy the scene. Wish both Ashnault and Downey could suit up, but what can you do. Less than a month away.

Same here. I think Kem wins, but Lewis will emerge as Kem's biggest threat to make the finals.
He has to be on the same side of the bracket first. Guys like Shields and Lavalle that don't have to see certain wrestlers will probably take fewer losses, and could therefore make Lewis a 4/5 seed.

Why isn’t Suriano in the picture for Rutgers possible line up?

Now I see this is an old thread that started before Suriano fled Funville.

I feel bad for Ashnault if Turk is his first match back from injury.

Why ? Is Turk overly 'physical'? Last time they faced each other Ashnault won by Tech Fall.

Richie Lewis, 157, off to a good start at the U-23 in Poland:

'70 kg: BOOM! Richie Lewis (USA) defeats Surkho Rashytkhanau (Belarus), 11-1, to advance to the quarterfinals at #U23Worlds!

70 kg: BOOM! Richie Lewis (USA) defeats Muhammet Akdeniz (Turkey), 14-7, to advance to the semifinals of #U23Worlds!

70 kg: BOOM! Richie Lewis (USA) defeats Zulfikar Makhamatov (Kazakhstan), 7-2, to advance to the title match at #U23Worlds!'
