Ryan Grubb, Iowa’s own

Changing OCs is not going to do anything. We’ve been in this sinking ship for well over a decade. I know it’s easy to throw Brian under the bus, but our offense wasn’t much better under Greg Davis or Ken Okeefe.
Who else remembers the game in Kinnick when MSU’s punter out rushed our entire offense?
Agree it is all on a KF script

Hear me out… Grubb HC Jamarcus OC/WR Shepherd(look what he did with Purdue WRs)
Brian Ferentz OL coach (hate me all you want I think he would be good at it) Defense same unless Parker retires with KF then promote Wallace to DC… who would be QB coach tho? hodge to LB coach and have BF as TE/OL??? So many possibilities to keep core group but upgrade what needs to change

And he should be the next OC or head coach. Hire him as the OC with assistant head coaching title. End of this damn nightmare

You nailed it over a month ago.

He is one of 3 names floating around atm.

A reminder for everyone: Ryan Grubb grew up in Kingsley, Iowa. He is the current Washington OC/QB Coach.

Andy Ludwig is the current Utah OC/QB Coach.

I doubt Jon is a serious candidate.

Gonn have to try someone, may as well be him
Yes, I’m not opposed to the strategy. Ideally, KF is on board with the strategy and doesn’t suffocate it but I’d almost prefer forcing KF out. I just don’t see anyone externally working out with all the dynamics at play here. I’m guessing KF hangs it up anyways after the season.

If I'm the AD, I immediately state that Brian's contract will not be renewed. This allows Kirk time to make the decision on what is best for him. This season could still lead to a west championship, and no AD would risk that.
Looks like they followed your plan. I wouldn't count on that championship, though.

FFS! You realize the guy you’re wanting is essentially on a Big 10 team also, correct?
An assistant moving might make sense if he's getting a pay bump or going home. For a head coach to move directly to a lesser football school would take some serious cash I'd imagine.

Washington has been to a CFP under Petersen, and is poised to do it again. They were 11-2 last year. They won a shared title under Don James. They stopped Da U's 58-game home winning streak They had some success under Neuheisel. They beat Hayden in the Rose Bowl in the first Iowa game I was aware of. My grandfather was singing the praises of this exciting new Iowa coach vs. the boring offenses PSU was running. Iowa may have more passionate fan base, but Washington has had higher highs in relatively recent history. I would say they are probably the 3rd best program in the Pac 12 behind Oregon since the Chip Kelly days, and USC. I'd say the new program ranking would be Ohio State #1, USC #2 (could be flipped), UM #3, PSU #4, Oregon #5, Washington #6, Wisconsin #7, Nebraska #8,
and Iowa #9.

My rankings, my criteria - no way Oregon is above PSU historically (we have 300+ more wins). UNL had a great run from the 70s to 90s, but had been down over 20 years. PSU has the 2nd largest stadium and may be the biggest TV draw.

Oregon has Nike money and will be relevant until that ODB dies. I hate saying it, but Nebraska will be back, with their money and facilities, plus massive backers like the Koch brothers. Say what you will, but they are a coach away.

lol. No.

We have the 3rd-most fans behind Ohio State and Michigan. Oregon and UNL aren't even in the Top 10. My ranking of 4th in the Big Ten is quite fair.

lol. No. Why are you on our board nit wit? To sit here and tell us his awesome you are? Nobody gives a **** about your turd ass program on thus board. Get ****ing lost.

And a lawyer worth his/her salt, would have to be braindead given the events of the last five years to be unable to make a case for termination with cause. Of course, with the asinine contracts this outfit hands out, cause probably won't matter.
lol, yeah. U might Ck the last 5 years records before opening your ignant mouth.
