Ryan Grubb, Iowa’s own

Well, we saw Penix at Indiana, he’s older and better now, but Grubb is a factor. You think he would only be good enough to be a QB coach
No, I am not sold on Tate, but I also think it would be nice to have a proven QB coach, and Grubb much like Brian now, could do that.

follow the ****ing thread. I literally stated that you replace him with Budmayr for the rest of the year, what is tough to understand. You are so ****ing stupid you can't read the title of the thread.
Back in. This is a dumb idea and would yield no improvement. My original point which was difficult to comprehend.

Better get Kirk to walk away on his own volition because the athletic department isn't coughing up the remaining 42 million

The ridiculous buyouts at the end of the 2022 fiscal year:

Kirk isn't sticking around if Brian got pushed out. No how. No way.
that is most certainly the perception I have as well, which is why I would announce right now that his contract is not being renewed to give Iowa more time hopefully to find a head coach, and possibly send Kirk out the way he deserves.

And a lawyer worth his/her salt, would have to be braindead given the events of the last five years to be unable to make a case for termination with cause. Of course, with the asinine contracts this outfit hands out, cause probably won't matter.
For cause? Uh, no.

Doesn't matter - it's KF's last year IMO.

Said this a few days ago in another thread. At this point he is the best option that may take the job. His contract is done next year. Problem is he is already likely on most radars for next HC across the county.
So, 2 mil year would need more, would be leaving a good job. he needs more money or HC job. I’m all for telling brain he’s done if we are out of the running for west championship in season… otherwise tell him his contract is not renewed after season. Force Kirks hand and give Grubb the OC job at 2.5+ million a year. But why would he take that? With the chance it hurts his ability to get a better job by having a crap offense at iowa?? Kirks got to retire before we get him. Maybe that’s 2025???

Only if they don't win the West and Brian gets pushed out. Him getting the boot is the only situation where Kirk leaves. He won't retire as long as he believes he can salvage Brian's career.

I disagree, but it's not like I'll ever convince anyone of that.

If KF is as greedy and selfish as most think he is, why would he walk away from millions just because sonny gets the boot?

I think the only reason BF is still here is because it's KF's last year.

I think his demented ass still believes $BriBucks is the next HC.

BF is still at Iowa because it was his only decent option and his only avenue for salvaging his career. He knows that, but more importantly Kirk knows that. He loves his son and he doesn't need the money. It's a family business for the 2 of them. Kirk just wants them both to go out on a high note, but that's very unlikely at this point.

You're opinion is popular and probably right. But I disagree.

I have three adult children that I love more than anything in the world. But, there is no scenario in which I would allow this situation to occur. He not salvaging his career, he is destroying it.

Yes, they want to go out on a high note and that seems unlikely. But I think 2023 is it anyway.

The #7 ranked Washington Huskies are 4-0.

When's the last time an Iowa offense put up 500 yards? Washington does it every game.

And look at what they did vs Michigan State.

Washington's Offense so far this Season:

..............................................................Total
.........................Passing...Rushing....Offense
Boise St, 56-19......490........78............568
Tulsa.......43-10.......454......109............563
Mich St...41-7..........536......177..............713
Cal..........59-32.......389......140.............529

So expect Iowa to cross the 200 yard barrier vs MSU. Maybe.

Phennix is a top ten NFL draft pick talent.
Has Iowa ever had a QB near that talented?
I would be interested but would need more info on his success without phennix.

Washington has scored 199 points so far. Their drive to 325 is on cruise control.

Yep, yep, yep!

Here's an interview with Grubb before their spring game. You can only get so much out of a 5 minute interview, but the feeling you get from this guy is that he's way more chill, just a night and day difference from any interviews with Brian.

I’d can Brian and see what happens, he’ll, do it this week just to push Kirk.
Agreed! AD can fire who she wants correct? Start firing people around Kirk for poor performance and let’s see what happens. Either we hire new and better people or continue to fire people around him. Step one, OL and OC. I assume a good OC choice would have his own OL coach already picked and ready to go with him! Let’s go!

And he should be the next OC or head coach. Hire him as the OC with assistant head coaching title. End of this damn nightmare

Hell yes, a new OC will change everything. First we need to fire that damn KOK though! And then we need to fired that damn Greg Davis! And then we need to fire that damn Brian Ferentz! :)
