Nodirjon Safarov is an Olympian! I met him at O’Hare earlier this evening. He was sporting his HWC gear waiting for Dan Dennis’ mom to pick him up and we talked to him for a little bit. Just a really delightful guy and really happy for him. Lives across from Carver with the other wrestlers and rooms with Eierman. Really seems to be happy to be part of the family with the Iowa wrestling program and HWC. He is just back from an Asian Qualifier that he did well at and will represent Uzbekistan at 57 kg for the Olympics.

His teammate actually qualified the weight for UZB and it looks like Nodir took his spot and will be the rep

Any Chance he would enjoy wearing the HWC gear so much that he would try the Real Black and Gold Gear on for a couple seasons??? LOL... does he have any eligibility left??? we have to keep our eyes open for new opportunities

Meant to ask about this when I saw the brackets, but what happened that Safarov wasn't the rep?
