Scottie Scheffler thrown in cuffs on his way to PGA Round 2

I don’t do much Twitter/X but on days like yesterday it remains absolutely undefeated

I know this will surprise many, but the mayor just said that the body cam was not activated.
Link? Not saying you're wrong, but all I've seen so far is that there simply isn't any footage. As in the cop likely didn't have one at all. And he's a detective, so was he even in an identifiable police uniform during this or was he in street clothes? Could be another interesting wrinkle here. World's #1 has a random person run at his car like a crazed fan...

They've just released new footage of Scottie on his way to the course yesterday, and it does appear that the arresting officer was in fact in plain clothes at the time of the incident:

“The officer did not have bodycam footage turned on during the incident. We will release the footage that we have," said Greenberg in a report from Louisville TV station WDRB. "We did not have any … to my knowledge. We have not discovered any video of the initial contact between officer Gillis and Mr. Scheffler."

Geezus , they spend a major fortune on body cams, probably enough to get at least a few dozen families out of a bad neighborhood, yet, in a situation where it seems it would be most appropriate to have them on (traffic control of a fatality in bad conditions), arresting a celebrity…. Yet they did not press the on button. 🤦

'Greenberg said he wasn’t certain that Gillis was wearing a body camera but there is footage from a fixed camera across the street from where Scheffler was arrested. The mayor said that footage will be released in the future, per WDRB.'

The best thing the LPD could do right now is STFU and let this fade away.

Scottie's arraignment has been rescheduled from 5/21 to 6/3. Reason is his attorney has a scheduling conflict. The County prosecutor objected to the delay.

I find the objection to the delay kind of curious. Seems like the prosecutor either wanted to get it over with tomorrow, or they want to double down. Under the circumstances, I'd think they would want to try to get back in the good graces of most of the public.

Better angle. Holy chit. Between the prosecutor and false charges of dragging an officer, the PGA should go public they will never hold event in Kentucky until the LPD is completely overhauled. If I was Governor I would be using everything I had to drop this. Prosecutor would be done.

I think I've seen that officer before - pretty sure he's the guy eyeing Afroman's dessert in the "Lemon Pound Cake" video from when they raided his house.
