Screw BT refs

Just curious. For all the people who complain about inconsistent officiating every game-how do you feel about cops enforcing the speed limit? Would you like them to start ringing you up every time you are 3 mph over? Refs in any sport could blow a whistle nearly every play. And while I would like to see them crack down on the grabbing and picks, forty years of watching B1G basketball tells me it isn't going to happen. So we can keep bitching about it every game or persuade the coach to recruit players who can physically compete in that game or be content with 11-9 conference records.

It did not seem to be a violation, but it's a stupid, lazy move to begin with. Zero reason for Pemsl to do that every game, and it's surprising he hasn't gotten that called on him more frequently.
He never goes all the way OB before throwing in the ball. Does it all the time.

For me, the worst call of the night was the "cylinder" foul. A) this is the second time Iowa's received this call, B) I watch a lot of bball and have never, never, seen it called in any other game, and C) with the amount of physical contact not being called, calling that is bullshit.

Also, as mentioned earlier, MANY times old dude ref would come over to "talk" to the players. Every time, it was an Illini player causing issues. Every time, he "talked" to both players. If I'm Illinois, that just told me that this guy doesn't have the balls to call us on this stuff.

Exactly Correct and well said.

All the more reason to replace human refs with a technology solution. The refs influence the game way too much.
