I've always thought that the toughest loss I've seen was the Daniel Dennis loss in the finals but, while it wasn't in as heartbreaking fashion, gilman not getting a title ranks right up there. Similar to Ramos in his senior year in that you knew he was the best at his weight class and this was it. Only with a different outcome.

5 AA's (all at least top 4) and two round of 12. It's not Iowa-standard and won't compete with PSU's five finalists, but it's respectable. Iowa may even top 100 points for the first time in several years.
Speaking as a fan, it's pretty hard to quibble any time a team scores in excess of 100 points at nationals.

Proud of these guys for coming back with the right attitude and talking care of business.
Hell yeah KemDog! Damn he goes hard. And isn't afraid of taking a lot of shots. I am not sure what kind of kid he is, leadership wise, but I hope he can step up and become that leader. Talented of course but his style is where we need to go with the current kids in the room and the ones arriving the next two falls
