Given that she was going through a laundry list of traumas and psychologically damaging events, she didn't exactly linger on much with Joe.
You would figure it would've been a lot worse for Joe in that diary of he was really up to no good.
I am not seeing a problem with Snopes fact check. They said that while the evidence was strong that the diary was real, they didn't have a verification until now. So now they have verification, hence changing it to true. In other words, they are showing journalistic integrity and exactly the reason why the site exists.
The diary pages on the other hand are interesting but I am not sure how big of a smoking gun it is. She doesn't actually place a time frame on when these showers occur, where they occurred, etc she just mentions probably not appropriate. She doesn't mention him inappropriately touching her or doing anything else like that so the main key is how old she was and where this happened.
If she was a teenager/tween its inappropriate, if she was under the teenager/tween range it's going to be heavily dependent on the circumstances so yeah, find that out and go from there.
