So Cancun Challenge isn’t a tournament

I didn’t realize there wasn’t a true tournament just two games

i wondered what the deal was. i heard the radio postgame and they said we would be playing byu tomorrow and byu was still taking warmups before their tipoff... i was like wtf?

These go on every year. Most of these are just a chance to play two nuetral site games but often there's NO actual "winner" other then individual games.

The NCAA used to have a rule that every X years you could play in a tournament that only 2 games counted towards the max in your schedule. A challenge like this is an opportunity to get away if you already had used your tournament slot.
