I just had my security system completely updated. My old equipment was 16 years old and my new control panel looks like it could launch a rocket into space. 🚀 It even tells me what the weather is like outside.
And it’s hooked up to my phone. Bonus!

I’ve had a solid month, record business. My non Iowa favorite team is doing fantastic. Golfed 9 holes today.

Finished up year end numbers for 2024, and we beat our stretch revenue goal by 7%. January has been phenomenal for new business contacts and quotes, so while I'm stupidly busy, it's been fantastic. Oldest daughter made honor choir, which is cool (not really my thing, nonetheless), and the other two are exceling as well. Winding down on coaching the girls basketball teams, and while that's fun to watch them grow and get better, I could use three nights of the week back...

I get so much more satisfaction/enjoyment from my cow/calf operation than I ever do from putting seed in the ground and watching it grow. Row crop is easier work but man is it boring compared to calving cows and watching those little calves grow.
