Trent looks shorter then Brooks but not much smaller. After this year and a RS he will be a good sized 184.
Iowa needs more world team members and medalists to level that field. Mark Perry has his work cut out for him, but I think going to 10 weights definitely helps the cause.Maybe it's just me, but I'm getting the vibe that Lee and Sasso end up in Lincoln.
Yeah, I'm not worried about size at all. Brooks is 6'0" and I'd say Hidlay looks to be to around 5'10" or 5'11". Heck, Ethen Lofthouse was like 5'9" and he took 5th at 184. Morgan McIntosh was also 5'9" and he was 7-3-2 up at 197. Hidlay would definitely put on the necessary muscle and be extremely competitive right out of the gate for us (hoping he commits!).
Not disagreeing with you but your comment had me chuckling conjured up memories of Lofthouse trying to finish singles on taller wrestlers with their leg on his shoulder trying to trip them
His legs were so short he couldn't reach their other leg to trip.....I seem to remember this going on constantly and people cheering him on then moaning when he couldn't seem to ever finish.... when he did finish one the crowd went crazySome fella named Dean Gabe, or something like that is only 5-10. I think he managed ok in College.
Anyone know if any JRs are planning on visiting soon? There is another team that is having like 7 of them on a visit this weekend. Not sure how that actually works.
We are years behind in recruiting. This class should be nearly locked up and we should be working on the next few years classes. We need a specific recruiting coordinator.
I am not trying to start anything, but it seems there are 2 choices here.
1 Sell the product harder and better or
2 Change the product.
My guess they are doing a lot of number 1 and will soon start to do a little of number 2. And please no going to the bathroom jokes.

Sasso to Iowa went out the window with Lugo arriving, imo. None of these top 50 kids want to sit. ..even for a year.
It's pretty apparent that there are some Top50 kids that don't mind at least the notion of sitting for a year. The want might not be there, but the probibility is. Unless a coach is awful creative with red shirts and such....
