He seems checked out this year. Just my impression, but he's been running at about FRANCON 8-9 all year. 14 games into the season; we haven't seen that before.
We need Fran to be around a Francon 4 to Francon 6 to be fully effective.
He can’t leave IC soon enough. He’s been given at least 5 more years than most programs would have allowed. His .510 Big 10 winning percentage and ZERO Sweet 16s is disheartening; has turned away countless fans … apathy continues to grow … and before you say “careful what you wish for …” stop and shove it up your ass… Iowa can do better than Fran… Beth G will finally pull the plug on this average coach who’s collected millions of dollars for mediocrity …

Have not seen francon above 1 in a while at least on the court
Not only has he not been above 1, something is odd because they rarely put the camera on him. Whatever happened with Patrick changed Fran to the point he just sits quietly. Watching his interviews is just painfully boring. I really don't know why he's even still coaching, other than just for the money.
Deserving and a contract are too separate issues. Counsel. Hopefully he’d take less considering the amount of time he was given. And all of his kids getting 12 free years of college.

Paul Szelc was seen F’ing up the Minn/OSU game last night in Minneapolis, so he could very well be in Iowa City tonight. He’s easy enough to get Fran up to a 4 just being in the same room.
What year was the ref staring contest? He had a 4 or more right before that and then he started holding his anger in. Now he seems to not care.
