Sorry, Clowns, but your win at Oklahoma is not impressive after all

Heaven, Iowa
The BIg 12 is desperate to have a final 4 caliber team; Oklahoma was supposed to be that team. Now they are on the ropes to lose their 2nd straight game, this time to an average at best Texas team.

The Big 12 is what we thought it was; the 5th best Power 5 conference at best.

Oklahoma, yes, won at Ohio State. But look at Ohio State now; their trajectory is upward. Oklahoma obviously won their Super Bowl in Columbus Ohio and now is that average team in America's worst Power 5 conference.

Disagree with you about the Big 12, but a road win @ Oklahoma was very big for the Clones. OP is not all that bright.

Oklahoma is maybe the #3 team IN THE WORST CONFERENCE IN THE COUNTRY.

Agree?

So, the Clowns simply beat the 3rd best team in their conference, which is the WORST CONFERENCE in the country.

Agree?

If not, I wonder about you.

I think ISU beating #3 Oklahoma in Norman is damn impressive.

Perhaps, but for ISU to be nearly 30 point underdogs on the road and to hand them their first loss is still impressive. If it was the black and gold you’d bing singing a much different tune.

Starting threads like this makes Iowa look like the "little brother."

You have nothing better to do on Bye-Week Saturday than come here and tease Iowa St that one of their biggest victories in recent memory isn't impressive because that opponent is now having a tough game against THEIR biggest rival?

You sound like a jealous 6th grader, for crying out loud, and make the fan base look bad.

With our bye week, yes, I watched other games across the country

What's wrong with this type of discussion?

Keep in mind, too, that OU struggled big time vs a terrible Baylor team.

The Clowns simply beat the 3rd best team in their 10 team conference, which is the WORST CONFERENCE in the country. Good for them, but not as impressive as everyone wants to think.

Is isu a title contender? What are they now? Without looking it up 2-1 tied for 2nd? See how they do against TCU and Ok St

But to be honest, we are what, the 6th best team in our conference?

1. PSU
2. OSU
3. Wisky
4. MSU
5. Michigan
6 iowa

That's probably fair. I think the B1G is better than the B12 and that's how the numbers roughly work. But I think ISU is actually pretty decent this year. Their game against TX is kind of like ours at MSU in that both teams probably would like a second crack at those opponents. You know, looking at ISU's schedule they probably lost to TCU and maybe one other team, but they're going 7-5 at worst I think. Well I guess 6-6 at worst.

Under estimate and that's what you get. The people that ranked Oklahoma also rank Osu. The 10 and 12 are somewhat similar.

It’s interesting to me that you comment about the Big 12 being the worst of the 5 power conferences. Other than Kansas who is terrible and Baylor who is really down this year who else do you think is bad?

Iowa State is probably the 8th best team (out of 10) in the conference and it took an unbelievable performance by your QB to beat the Cyclones by 3 in overtime.

Oklahoma is as good as anyone in the country with the exception of Alabama and perhaps Georgia and TCU.

The Big 12 may or may not be the strongest at the top, but they have the least amount of bad teams at the bottom.

The Big 12 is fairly garbage. They have the OKie win against OSU. But my gosh Texas gave up 50 plus to frickin Maryland. But that crowd at ISU today was embarrassing. I realize rain but was 60 degrees. After an Okie win and that place was desolate. Raise the standard.

Must have been Maryland’s Super Bowl. At least that’s what you all say when a Big Ten team loses to team from a different conference. Might have something to do with being the first game under a new coaching staff.

As for the crowd at ISU today. Yes, it was disappointing. I know Iowa fans were bummed out not selling out a night game against Penn State too.

So Iowa should have no problem then against Ohio State. lol
