216-145 I believe overall. Iowa would need to go 9-4 next year to eclipse 60%.Well if my math of 204-124 is correct from ALL KF games (not just Iowa), 62%.

I like that. Even if you only win 7-9 games. As in, "We had an off year, we only won 9 games."Fair point. On the other hand, Iowa pretty desperately needs to show the world it can resuscitate its passing offense. Even if you only win 7-9 games, but you demonstrate you can pass the ball effectively, it can reap dividends on future QB and WR recruiting.
Wonder how many games we have to win next year for Kirk to be over the 60% HOF mark. I hate math….
More like Lester is the gift!
I'm willing to bet anyone that they don't carry 6 pure QB's into next season. He says he wants 5-6 in his QB room; he has 5 in there now. I hope he is getting this right.
I agree 100% that’s the only reason it makes sense. It would pay dividends forsure, on the other hand if you suck again it’s gonna hurt BAD… but that’s why they coach football.. gotta go for it. As a normal hard working business owner 2 million is just insane to me.. I’d have to work like 15 years to make that… kids don’t realize how lucky they are to be gifted athleticallyFair point. A win against Mizzou and he'd be over right now. And 8 wins next year would have kept him above the limit. Just like he coaches games, right down to the wire. Seems appropriate. Hope he gets there.Kirk, at Maine & Iowa, has now been the head coach in 361 games. He's won 59.83% of those games.
To be at 60.00% (or better) at the end of the 2025 season, assuming a 13 game season, Kirk needs to go 9-4 (or better), which would put him at 225-149 (60.16%).
Kirk's current record:
.......12-21 (36.4%):...............3 years at Maine..........(1990-92)
204-124 (62.2%):...........26 seasons at Iowa (1999-present)
..................................................................
216-145 (59.83%) Overall Record

His should be for spicy mustard. I think Wetjen should have one for a car wash, or that floor mop devise....Wait, isn't there an NIL angle here somewhere? Wasn't DeJean sponsoring one of these places?
His record at Iowa is well above 60%. Its the years at Maine that dragged him down under 60%...Well if my math of 204-124 is correct from ALL KF games (not just Iowa), 62%.
Not a big surprise to me given Iowa's track record and Ferentz offenseNot coming. On to plan D.
Is this confirmed or are you simply a counterweight to the other guys who know nothing saying it's a done deal? Not coming. On to plan D.
NOT confirmed, continual guessing on all of our parts both ways. Just be patient, the best source (TX Hawk) said to be patient as details are finalized. Now, certainly, in the NIL this changes on a dime but that's at least a trusted, solid source (e.g. Brad H of the Swarm). Is this confirmed or are you simply a counterweight to the other guys who know nothing saying it's a done deal?
Thanks. At least I know that everyone is still completely full of shit. It's comforting in a way.NOT confirmed, continual guessing on all of our parts both ways. I miss the bag of cash under the desk days.

Five always seems to be their sweet spot. If they got to six, I would imagine Shaggy is the first man out. G, Brown, Sullivan and the two youngsters.I think you are right; if Lester gets the room to 6 I can't imagine they all stick around
double confirmed. I think I saw him at HyVee. His hair was dyed, he had glasses and was sporting a local John Deere dealer’s sweatshirt. I assume all of that was an attempt to throw the big boys in college football off the scent. He’s coming. Confirmed!
KF: Sorry kid, you have to earn it here at Iowa.Wouldn't Iowa basically have to give Gronowski a guarantee he would be the starter before he would come? I don't see them doing that - and I don't see him coming unless they did.

Both this thread and Iowa offense.I wonder if Lester regrets taking this job; it's not easy to recruit kids when the Iowa offense has been the laughing stock of the sports world over the last few years
