Stoll looks like an offensive juggernaut compared to that performance by Nevills.

Anyone that says Stoll has no offense is just being a hater. He has a bodylock to a trip and a snatch single. What the hell else do you need when you are 260 pounds and can crush a guy when they shoot and can get a bodylock at will? I find his style entertaining as hell compared to many HWTs.

Possibly. Many duals left and Big 10’s. Enough time to make it up. Better it be early rather than late like Sorenson last year.
He hasn’t been offensive for the most part except against the less talented guys. He finds a way to get the job done, at least until now. Advancement points don’t care if two dudes rubbed bellies for 7 mins.
That said, Stoll was dominating guys at Midlands prior to semis...he was showing very good offense and lots of backs with a nice little throw in there. He is going to have to find a way to do something other than push in rd of 12 or conso semis not named Snyder.
IMO there is only one Hwt in college that has any offense to brag about. The rest are just traditional HWTs.

I loved how Stoll was going at it. I get excited to see him wrestle and know that he is going to give it all and go for a fall when he can. Just saying anyone that gets a loss early has time to right it. You don’t get extra points for how you win, just if you win. That said if keeps going how he has been prob another loss or two will happen. It’s still early, I guess that is my point.

Stoll gets a lot of crap on your end (not you) but he has looked pretty good this year. I still think a split is possible...Nick is good when he wants to be but it just seems something is wrong against the better guys. He used to be way more mobile...I am not just using this match as a data point. Stoll lost a lot of weight and that has helped him out quite a bit.

Me too...that's why I'm not hahaing. I specifically picked this match because I was interested in how Nevills is moving this season because it doesn't seem like he is putting up many points even allowing for him being a HWY. Personally, the only reason I care is because of seeding and the fact that BWI makes fun of Sam.

I've been a Stoll fan his entire career, and was saddened that he couldn't showcase his talents all these years due to injury. It wouldn't have mattered much against Snyder probably, but a 2nd or two may have been possible. Knees are tough on the big guys. As for Nevills, not sure what the problem is. I suspect his added weight and emphasis on mat wrestling have sapped his neutral initiatives. He has too many 4-3 and 3-2 matches, and as we all know, if you live by them, you die by them.
