For the next four years, everybody is going to hate Minnesota at HWY
Yeah, and I have an informal bet with Grappler6 that Minnesota doesn't beat Iowa in a dual for the career of GS.
So what? One dominant guy isn't going to save them.

Nick Lee pinned Alber pretty quickly

It was at the end of the match...Alber losing by 1, shoots in and ends up with a body lock...LionLee goes double overs and throws Alber to his back and pinned him with a few seconds left.

I didn’t see the match, thanks for clarifying. I thought it said he pinned him within a few seconds. Guess it was with a few seconds left.

Rasheed is dangerous. Cassar losing will help with rankings for Wilcke. I would be shocked if he isn’t top 4 when the new rankings come out. 197 is a weird weight.

Or a long bus ride, and don't forget the ref sucked.
Anyone claiming the ref's sucked...deserves to be heard. This is more than likely ALWAYS a valid reason for a loss. I have seen more crappy officiating this year so far than in any other full year. Maybe it's just me, but this seems to be a real problem that needs to be addressed because it's getting worse and worse. The kids (all college wrestlers) work too hard and deserve way better than what they are getting right now.

Redshirt question...

If I understand correctly, wins/losses when redshirting don't count correct? Does that also count for the people your're wrestling?

I'd say they don't count for either guy. However, once the shirt is pulled, wins and losses from earlier in the season become part of the official record.

If you redshirt the win and losses do not count on your official record or career record, but if your redshirt gets pulled then all your wins and losses count if they are against people with college eligibility. So all the guys who lost to Nate Jackson at the midlands do not have to count that as a loss on their official record for regionals or nationals. That is what I think to be true. It may have changed recently, but that is how it used to be. (Something I say more and more as I age.)

If a guy goes 30-1 and wins a NC but his lone loss was to a redshirt freshman...did he go undefeated?

I'm thinking yes, with an asterisk for inquiring minds.

The dean of stats and wrestling info on BWI (and heck of a nice guy), RoarLions says opponents of Red Shirt wrestlers have results count for/against their record whether the wrestler keeps the shirt or burns it. So a loss to a red shirt is a loss on your official record.

The only wins/losses that do not count are for un-rostered wrestlers, PD3 if he had competed at Midlands, or high school wrestlers competing in NCAA events.

For those interested, Hall just took the lead with :35 fall. Bo has some work to do.
Last year at about this time, I said Nickal would beat Dean like a drum. Of course I was mocked by the brain trust on the site even tho I've been a Hawkeye longer than most of you have been alive. I'm saying it again, that skinny kid will dominate anyone by sheer force of will

So you're admitting you were wrong?
