Start Joe T?

For the record, I actually believe they are both poorer PG than ConMac...

the fact is that JoeT is a very good FT shooter, but unfortunately could not deliver made FTs when it counted, Jobo has demon his ability to make those clutch FTs time and time again over his career.

Can't have a starting guard averaging 3 pts per game. His assists per game are pretty good but that's a net negative no matter how you look at it. When he stops dribbling it turns into 5 on 4. Connor is good at limiting turnovers and getting elbowed in the face. I'll grant you that. 😊

He should under NO CIRCUMSTANCES be giving the ball up in that situation, and any Coach with a clue makes that perfectly clear. This is no-brainer stuff, the easiest decision Fran could ever make. But Nooooooo!

I agree but I think JBO is a little afraid of handling the ball under pressure right now.

I agree in that if ConMac is going to be left open, and declines to shoot, then he’s a liability, so to be a threat. For goodness sakes cut to the basket and become a threat...

I rewatched the Minnesota game specifically to see how effective their double team actually was and who was open.

Connor was cutting and open in the lane allot Luka just isn't up to speed on passing.

Iowas spacing also needs to be allot better to allow Luka to see the floor.

There were way to many times hawkeyes were so close together that one guy was able to guard two people.

Have to get a shooter all the way in the corner on ball side.

None of the guys you pointed out above missed two in the final 6 sec. and then didn't foul Minn. best player with the ball in his hand or then let his man shoot and uncontested 3 pointer. JMO It's hard to have two guards on the floor at the same time who can't score from outside the free throw lane. (CM and Joe)

So it’s better, in your mind, to have a player ,JBO, shooting less then 25% from field, playIng no defense, dribbling and going nowhere for 20 seconds per possession. I’d rather have somebody with a pulse.

That may be, but I frankly find that hard to believe given his history. End of games is a totally different animal, where clock is key and fouls are imminent. JBo knows or should know that him going to the Free Throw line is absolutely Iowa's best chance of winning, something he seems to care a great deal about (Fran should know that too, and every Coach that plays Iowa already does).

I find it hard to believe a kid with his moxie and proven ability to thrive under that late game pressure at the line, has suddenly caved in his Senior year. Not buying it. He's a weapon few teams have. Use it or lose it..........

Im just going by what I'm seeing.

I think he's lost a step and isn't as comfortable handling the ball under pressure.

Hes been overly anxious to get rid of the ball this year and its lead to some TOs that I don't think he commits 2 years ago.

Why else give the ball up there?

Good call ... JBo gets a corner 3 on Cmac penetration.

Like every minute Luka and Jack are on the floor together. It makes me cringe.

No idea. One would think it's a confidence thing but he's never not been confident, so that doesn't make sense to me.

Dribbling out of a double team to get fouled when teams are fouling doesn't require any foot speed. He should never give the ball up in those circumstances until it's proven he can't handle it, which he always has to this point.

We got beat because he gave up the ball needlessly, IMO. Let it be the last time.

Looks like tonight might be the confidence booster he needed.

I almost wonder if, for Bohannon, it’s a “chip on the shoulder” mentality thing. He’s always played like he has something to prove, even to the extent of beyond just being confident. You can tell he’s still confident, but tonight was the first time all year I’ve felt that he had that chip on his shoulder again; like he’s out to prove something to his and Iowa’s naysayers. He (and Iowa as a whole) need to keep playing with that underdog attitude and treat every game like it’s win or go home

Well Mr. Einstein, how do you feel about the your Joe tonight? Probably still want to run JB off the team and throw all the players under the bus? Really we just need a new coach who can recruit all 5 star recruits and win every game. I'll keep the young men and coach who are there now...Now go ahead and cuss me out as you're good at that because I don't agree with you (GOD).

I am glad for jbo. Come back and talk to me when he does it consistently. Einstein. Right now he’s played 8 shìt games and 2 great games. That isn’t gonna get Iowa anywhere. As for Joe, he got inured douchebag. I’m sure you loved that.

It was not uncontested, JT got his hand in Carr’s face. JBo can’t currently score from outside the FT line either.
Pretty good observation but then the guy scores 6 of 7 from the three point range. And is one of the all time best three point shooter all time in the B1G. It's ok to have different opinions but don't take a vote on here who is the better 3 point shooter between JBo and Joe the plumber

agree, and is why I really believe ConMac and JoeT should be # 8-9 in the rotation.

I guess the ‘start JoeT’ discussion has been retired?
