I would have thrown some in specifically for WBB to get a transfer or two to buy a natty next season. This is correct. If Iowa women basketball fans don't want to develop a way to pay NIL, then the money won't be there.
Their NIL program is a joke. I think it’s bottom 10% in P5.Clown U is stealing all of @Tx_Hawk 's ideas
note that the $$$ is going to both the Clown Athletic Dept and to a collective
If it is a hot day, that will only last the 1st quarter.
Basically 10,842 - 12 ounce beers. They need to triple that order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do they think we are rank amateurs?
Coors Light is chicken urine.
Wild. Aramark has a contract with the university to provide food and beverages at the games, right? It’s as if the university is funneling money to the swarm collective.

It tastes like a bad white wine to me.Coors Light is chicken urine.

According to a 2021 article from the DSM Register, the university has a contract with Anheuser Busch which is why there is Bud Light and Busch Light offered at games. According to the same article, the university and Aramark split the revenue brought in on beer sales. Not really though, the University just approved beer sales. Aramark chooses which ones.
My guess is that the purchase is done on Aramarks license. The split is done on the backside by the bean counters.According to a 2021 article from the DSM Register, the university has a contract with Anheuser Busch which is why there is Bud Light and Busch Light offered at games. So, the question is, who is paying for the Swarm beer to be at Kinnick? If it’s the university like it is for Anheuser Busch, then they are essentially contributing to paying their own student athletes. Seems like a sticky deal but what do I know.
Maybe the university could just write a check to The Swarm if they wanted - that feels like it would be no different than this situation. In this situation, it feels like the university is just laundering money through Exile by way of their agreement with The Swarm to pay their own student athletes.
Yet they continue to sign basketball players who Iowa has heavily recruited. I am a member of Swarm and I wish there had been some way to designate the sport I would have had my funds go to. I realize that they are concentrating on football, but I sure would like to see the hoops program achieve something while I am still above ground.Their NIL program is a joke. Found Swarm on tap at the CR Kernels (Twins A league team) game last evening. I had to partake.

Aramark only gets to choose so much. Sponsorships dictate alot of what's sold in stadiums. Not really though, the University just approved beer sales. Aramark chooses which ones.
Unlike Barta.Beth Goetz has sat down with @Tx_Hawk and is very supportive of what he's trying to accomplish with the SWARM Collective.
Watch:
By the way, I do see where if you donate $1k or more to Swarm you get to designate if it goes to WBB, MBB, Football or Wrestling.
@Franisdaman—It really is amazing the job @Tx_Hawk has done. If he had not stepped up and formed the SWARM Collective, would anyone have?
Not enough. Will need some Swarm koozies if it stays hot.

I honestly don’t know the answer to this. I have yet to meet somebody that said “well if you wouldn’t have stepped up I would have done it.”
With that said, I’m no different or better than anybody on this board or anybody else. I’m just a Hawk fan/grad that has enough war scars to know a little bit about setting up and running a business…although an NIL business is not something I ever contemplating being involved with.
If somebody else out there thinks they can do better and others agree, I will be happy to turn over the reigns to them. I just want the Hawks to win…and for the Eastern Iowa community to prosper.
Thanks for doing it! I finally joined about a month ago. I had donated to the players group last season and never really saw anything more from that group. Will be able to make a tailgate at the Marriott so should be fun. Will make an impression on my 9 year old son for sure for a future long term fan. He says he will drive me there to games when I get too old to drive.@Franisdaman—

In Iowa are the SWARM membership dues tax deductible or just donations?
I don't suppose we will ever see any Swarm non alcoholic beverages (like soda)? Those Pepsi/Coke contracts are probably tightly written to exclude any other beverages sold at Kinnick.
It states this…….Does anyone have an answer to this?
It states this…….
“Your tax-deductible gift is used to pair athletes with charitable work, engagement, and mentorship with non-profits in the community to
raise awareness and support for these charities.”
They have an email address to ask questions. Might say on their website. For $200 I don’t worry about it.This doesn't answer my question. I completely understand that I can make a donation and it will be a tax write off. What I'm asking is if I can purchase the membership and have it be a tax write off? When you make a gift you typically don't get anything in return, the membership gives you perks.
