Teske transfer

He did pull a break being the 15 seed when the 31 seed caught the 2 seed and stuck him.
Although true, that 2 seed didn’t wrestle very well at NCAA’s. He barely won his 1st consi match 4-2 to the same guy Beard beat 14-4. He would then lose to Elam 12-3 after winning 1 more match over the 16 seed.

Spooner, it looks like the first year reported was in the $600,000 range and the following two, as this year hasn't been completed yet, was in the $400,000 range. Yes, that is down from year one, but I wouldn't say there's a problem over there & I don't see where they posted a fund raising budget? I ain't trying to be "right" here. You just had me really cornfused with how you "framed" it up.

The goals were higher each year but like I said, isn’t really talked about—there’s no link to it as the goal targets aren’t still on the site. Sorry, I just know from following it. I swear I’m not trying to play some sort of shell game. Lol

And $400K and falling is…not very good.

In talking to a county board member for one of their annual golf outings it sounds like they've split up their "giving tree" and their fund raising. Whatever that means. With that said he said the total on the website doesn't include both. He said "they" are happy with KD's fund raising efforts, fwiw. Now I can't say he talks to Pollard to know for certain, but I'd be surprised if anyone here does either.

It would be interesting to know the HWC's fund raising totals pre new facility fund raising to compare.

It does seem they are concentrating the money raised to attracting transfers than post grads. Iowa seems to be doing the opposite which I like and was deeply needed.

So, your posts piqued my interest in the CRTC.

Pretty small operation for a D-1 program.

Seven staff members and two, yep two, athletes. Looks like the fundraising pays the staff and not much else to show.

Typical Clone operation.

At least Hawk recruits in the area have a place to train.

I think their fund raising efforts are to have NIL monies to sign the #2 class myself.

Iowa's track record with portal/transfers guys like ADS, Lugo, and Eierman would indicate Teske should do well in IC.

I'm excited to see what he does with practice partners that he'll have access to. I fully expect to see him as an AA before his eligibility expires.

I would say that Teske, although he may do very well and be a super stud, is not a portal transfer guy like ADS or Eireman. Eireman was a 3 time AA before coming to Iowa and ADS was round of 12 guy as a true freshman.

Teske was seeded 5th his redshirt freshman year, lost in SV to #4 seed Hildebrandt in the quarters and lost to 3rd place finisher McKee in the Blood Round. Last year was a slight step backwards but with his current desire to move to 133, weight cut could have been an issue.

Teske was rd12 his rs freshman year
Teske has some great credentials, but to say he is the level of a transfer of Eireman or Desanto is overstating. That is my only point. DeSanto was a rd 12 guy and was destroying guys as a true frosh at Drexel. He was the star of the program and had very little in the way of training partners.
Please do not think I am trying to diminish Teske's accomplishments or cast a shadow on his future successes. I am just saying, if you had to rank the transfers in order of immediate impact -Teske would be behind Lugo, DeSanto, Eireman, and Real Woods for that matter.
OI am sure there are about 70 D1 teams out there who would love to have Teske as a transfer.
