The bill would strip the power of Texas and other states to challenge some of the its provisions in their local federal court.

...

Bill Shipley, who was a federal prosecutor for over 20 years, decried the its court provisions on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday.

"This would prevent plaintiffs - like the State of Texas - from filing suit in Texas federal courts. This is corrupt," he wrote.

...

After outlining the provisions under which immigrants can seek judicial review of a deportation order, the bill states:

"The United States District Court for the District of Columbia shall have sole and original jurisdiction to hear challenges, whether constitutional or otherwise, to the validity of this section or any written policy directive, written policy guideline, written procedure, or the implementation thereof."

States have a duty to protect their citizens' rights. When, not if, the Federal Government is the offender, the state should have the means of legal redress, yada, yada, yada.

As it should be.
The federal government was created by the states and it exists to serve the states. This has been forgotten lately.

If the government tries to take the rights from the states, especially when it is pointed at a specific political side will lead to war against the federal government.

Northern, I'm not trying to play dumb but its been a long day and my brains is mush right now. Could you dumb it down for me on how this relates to the issue at hand?

The American left utilized federal courts in Hawaii and Maryland in an attempt to stop Trump's travel ban. The left cheered this action on.

Immigation is codified by law as a federal issue. Specifically. You really can't have individual states making their own immigration rules, you know.

Good. Until Governor Abbott learns to treat brown people like the human beings they are, he shouldn't have any say with what is done with them.
