What a year to enjoy Hawkeye football! Had some medical issues past three years. But, my Hawks are entertaining again and I'm trying not to get over- confident!
I'm thinking positive about our football team this season and believe our players have shown good chemistry on both sides of the line. Hasn't our place kicker been awesome?!? What a leg! King is truly exciting and Lomax looks sharp. If CJ stays healthy, we could have an exciting year! I'm even reading good things about the basketball squad and future recruits. What a good time to be a Hawk fan, huh?
The past three years, the football team seemed to struggle, but Melvin Gordan (sp.?) changing his commitment from Iowa to Wisconsin really hurt our plans and records. Running backs the past three years for Iowa tried hard ( Weisman) but didn't match the talent Wisconsin ( Bielema) got when MG left us high and dry. So, its good to be back and hope to see some Iowa games again. We have some exciting guys ; Go Hawks
