That call on jok...

I guess it is OK to wrap your arms around someone and tackle them and because your head is down at the players waste the tackled player gets a flagrant one. This crew has always sucked.

I just don't get how a player being grabbed and trying to fight through can get a flagrant. I realize he brought his elbow up high, but I mean come on. He was trying to get loose.

I dont mind calling a foul on Jok, if its the initial call. whats insane is being able to go back and change the call.

You cant do that with anything else other than out of bounds.

Its just not right to be able to call a seperate foul on review.

The whole shot to the head thing is a completely fake concern for the sake of image. Its not football. They're manufacturing an issue that doesn't actually exist in this sport.

Creating a fake victim. Its the trend now days.

Whitsltes were out of hand, in general. I had to turn it off as it slowed to a snails pace. How do badger fans watch that crap

I thought from one angle it looks like Jok's elbow actually missed making contact anyway! Terrible call glad that call did not decide the outcome!

Was the FT on that flagrant their final point of the game? If that point had been the difference...

Just say it: Bogus B***S***. Period. End of story.

And until JoBo hit the game winner, the difference in the game was that ONE freakin' FT Wisky was awarded. But the Hawkeyes weren't gonna let it happen again.

Steal the game from the Hawkeyes in Minneapolis, but not this time. Refuse to lose? Hell yes, Hawkeyes. :D

See ya in the NCAA, Joe Lunardi, you clown.

If your team is winning, you'll watch. I'd much rather watch a faster pace game AND win. Playing exciting and losing gets old too... but not as fast as SLOW and losing

Since when can you tackle someone and get rewarded with a flagrant foul? What an absolute joke. It's so fitting that we beat them anyway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought it was a good call. Sorry. You can't swing your elbow like that regardless if you are being held. As soon as they went to replay, it was a given that he was going to get a flagrant 1

Yeah...Minny refs should have reviewed their screwup. I don't like the cheap azz grabbing by Showalter...then a flop after he got whacked.

I thought from one angle that the defender had a hold on Jok's upper arm pulling it down. So logic and physics would say, when the defenders' hands slip off, of course Jok's arm will jump up. How can that be a foul on Jok?

One can hope that the Big Ten will now protect Iowa that the big dance is in play like they have Wisconsin and Minnesota.

The rules are written wrong if you can't take into account the lack of intent and the fact that he was trying to get free of a player who was obviously fouling him.

The fact that they can go back and call a foul based on watching replay just because it was a head shot is whats terrible about the situation.

They cant call any other retroactive foul no matter how obvious.

There is no head foul issue in basketball, its PC bullshit.

this is how wisky plays...showalter sticks his face in & then acts (REPEAT ACTS) like someone just shot him. and he does it everytime on defense...Wisky has always had someone like that..

I like Gard as a person but he learned from the best in Bo...who always thought his players were getting mugged when they were the ones doing the mugging. They truly take 'fake' to another level.

They should either be able to change anything on replay or only out of bounds.

The head shot thing is not something that should matter if its in the flow of the game.

Nope. Only a B1G official on the road would call that. First, he was being held and did not throw the elbow. He merely moved it up to get away from the defender. Total BS call.

That's fine but Showalters foul should also be ruled intentional. There's no reason for any player to have an arm completely wrapped around another player's body.... which by the way created the situation for the incident.

There is no concussion issue in basketball.

Its faux concern by the ncaa for the sake of public image.

I'm as big of a Homer as you all. He swung his elbow and smacked the guy right in the face!

Ridiculous call. Showalter was holding on to Jok all game, and it seemed to take Pete out of his rhythm. There was no way that should have been an F1 on Pete. I always thought that if play continued (Pete shot a FT), then a review was nullified. I guess the zebras once again had their balls recede, and the home crowd got what they wanted. It happens WAY too much in the B1G.

Overall, the officiating was not good, but the Hawks got a more even game from the zebras than you normally get at Wisky.

Was the biggest joke of a call I have seen. With that I'm off to bed and not even sure it's worth my time to watch anymore Iowa ball games the rest of the year even though I love watching and supporting them. This bs officiating is beyond tolerable.
If wiscy ended up winning by 1 point, I'd be so F'ing pissed!
Thankfully, unlike mn game, we had a chance to make up for their bad calls!
You missed out big time!! The roller coaster keeps moving w/o you ;)

I agree, he hit him. But the refs missed it and it did zero damage to Showalter. And Showalter fouled Jok too.

Theres no reason for the rule to exist.
