That thar Iowa state win is looking pretty good

It’s NCAA tournament success that matters, and that requires winning meaningful games. Frankly, Iowa can win the instate game every year for all we care, as long as we make runs to the second weekend and beyond in the NCAA tournament. I suspect that isn’t a goal of yours since it hasn’t happened in the lifetimes of any of your players.
If clown fans really didn’t care about winning the Iowa game then they wouldn’t be here trying so hard to prove to us your superiority on this and many other Iowa sites. The reason you don’t see Iowa fans acting like d-bags on clown fan websites is we know we are big brother and don’t need to state the obvious.

You are clearly mistaken about your importance in the thought process of this Cyclone. Based upon the repetitive nature of your posts I suspect that you add very little to this forum, so it would make sense that you wouldn’t have a clue why there would be any discussions between fanbases. You have a nice day.

I tell you what Goldclownfan. Go check out the Iowa Football Recruiting thread on cryclown fanatic. While you are at it you can also view the thread Tough day for EIU Hoops hopes. After you get through the roughly 100,000 posts then you can come back and tell us how it is clown fans are so wholesome and salt of the earth folks and how I have the isu fan base pegged so incorrectly.

Can’t wait for your full report. Or you can do as all clown fans and run away and hide when these threads on cryclown fanatic are brought up.

I am good either way.

The clones have been very impressive this year. I don't think they're really any good, but they've got an incredible coach there, and even when they were scrapping for smaller-time recruits they managed to get a bunch of pieces that work great defensively, and they also seem to always find one guy they can build around offensively.

Later in the year they're going to face some teams that can guard Osunniyi one-on-one, or their inconsistent outside shooting will get them, or he'll get in foul trouble. That's not a Sweet 16 quality team. TBH they weren't last year either. But when you have a defense, you have a better chance in these tournament settings down the road.

Otz recruiting this way, with consecutive top 5 classes, having immediate success as a coach, should show everyone here at Iowa that we should expect a lot better from our program. For whatever reasons - Iowa isn't providing the support and coaching necessary to be a top-flight basketball program and ISU is - and we all know the gulf in resources there is between these programs.

Why limit to the last two years? We will see if isu can continue to draw teams in the tourney that fire their coach days ahead of their first game.
You’re right, if only we got so lucky to face Richmond in the first round…

Wins against ISU and Clemson are looking pretty good now. I continue to think the EIU loss will be virtually meaningless. We just need to take care of business at this point.
I still believe 18 wins total will get us a bid. The only time the EIU loss will matter is if we're on the bubble and we have the worst loss than the other teams with the same Q1/Q2 win totals.
