The Elon Musk Twitter shitshow

Sharing dozens and dozens of tweets that are negative towards Musk as proof that tweeters negative towards Musk are getting suspended doesn't seem to make the point I think you guys are trying to make.

Journalists who cover Elon Musk have been suspended on Twitter tonight: @donie O'Sullivan from CNN, Aaron Rupar and the Washington Post's @drewharwell.

Rupar tells me he has "no idea" why it happened.
The NYTimes' @RMac18 has been suspended from Twitter. He's been on the Elon Musk beat.
Mashable's @MattBinder has been suspended from Twitter. He's been on the Elon Musk beat.
Journalist @webster has been suspended.
This was The Washington Post's @drewharwell's post before he was suspended from Twitter, outlining how Twitter suspended the account of its competitor Mastodon earlier today.Image
@mentionsThe Intercept journalist has been suspended. He had been writing critically about Elon Musk.
Political pundit @KeithOlbermann has been suspended by Twitter. He had been tweeting critically of Elon Musk.
Here's @KeithOlbermann's last tweet before he was suspended from Twitter.Image

I look forward to when he pays one of the networks, likely Fox or Russian State TV, to go on and play the victim

Apparently publishing “negative articles about Musk or Twitter” is now a violation of Twitters content rules.

I just saw the WaPo headline in my email:

Twitter abruptly suspends several journalists

The suspensions, which came without explanation Thursday night, affected journalists at The Washington Post, New York Times, CNN and other outlets who had recently written or tweeted about the drama surrounding billionaire Elon Musk’s takeover of the social media platform.

So much for Elon being a free speech "absolutist" or whatever he called himself.

I believe that was the exact term he used. Complete joke, but most sane people already knew that none of this was about free speech.

But if you honestly made your living from your Twitter audience and didn’t begin converting them to a different platform or mailing list as soon as he took over, that’s sort of on you. This was always the potential outcome…

@Phenomenally Frantastic, how you gonna spin this shit bro? LOFL
I suspect his fans will use one or all of these justifications:

1. This is Elon’s genius way of showing the unfairness of arbitrarily banning accounts of a certain political persuasion.

2. You can only expect a guy to endure so much unwarranted vitriol.

3. What did people expect when his child was viciously stalked and attacked. Any reasonable person would lash out.
