Underneath all of the noise, which is there to distract, this takeover of twitter is about protecting dictators and billionaires around the world. Twitter was a very effective means of organizing resistance and creating movements of change and that terrifies the overclass and their hangers-on.
Before he was banned yesterday, I noticed that Rupar, Ron Flipowski, LOLGOP, Right Wing Watch, Jo from Jersey and a few others no longer show up in my twitter feed.
Someone, on one of the handful of news videos I watched yesterday, pointed out that E-loon and his antics are sucking all the energy out of the various MAGA presidential campaigns. E-loon is giving the faithful all the red meat they desire and owning the libs all on the convenience of their phones.

I actually agree with this on principle. Hence why I deleted my account in October and haven’t looked back. Doesn’t mean I can’t point out the hypocrisy of him being a “free speech absolutist”.
It is a private company, and he obviously can do (and has done) whatever he wants.
On a side note: at least tweets embedded here on HR, in the past few weeks for the first time ever I have noticed “loading tweet” messages instead of the tweet. Looks like firing all those engineers may have consequences starting to pop up.

Mostly what I have observed is it is angry white people who are generally unhappy with how their lives turned out that are the biggest offenders on both sides. I get kids/young people being a bit more emotionally charged as they have not gained valuable life experience that someone in their late 30s+ have but after that point the extreme rhetoric screams of quite desperation coming from a life they don't like.
It is pretty pathetic, MAGAs and the extreme left are who they hate...mostly angry white middle age people who hate where they ended up in life.
