The fact that wadley

Agree with OP it took Kirk 4 years to figure that out really?

Look, I’m not frustrated with you. I’m frustrated with a staff that stares at league worst kickoff and punt return yardage and acts like there is absolutey nothing they could do about it. How about not having the thirty fifth quickest guy on the team like Colin Sandeman and returning from season ending injury Matt VanDeberg returning kicks????!

You are a moron. No offense.

I'm gonna say this one more time.
The people that keep saying we won't miss Akrum Wadley are out of their minds.

He is an all timer. Top 5 in all purpose yards, top 5 in rushing yards and #2 in TDs. Iowa has some good RBs on the team but Wadley does things not many RBs can do. He has made first round defensive talent look silly at times.

And you thinking a kick returner is more likely to get injured than a running back is idiocy.

yeah! remember that season we had 7 RB/FB get injured returning kick offs? that was brutal.

In fact, when was the last time any kick returner was injured on a kick off return? Anyone??

Only read p1 so sorry if pointed out, but I remember pretty much the whole board being in agreement to take Wadley off the return unit. He has too hesitant, doing it like a RB and not like a returner.

The reason for this is because of wedge blockers and wedge busters. I love how you degrade everyone about how little they know about football but dont know the majority of injuries on kickoffs are these people. If they want to get rid of them, fine. But don't give me this "we cant let someone return kicks because they MIGHT get hurt." Its a garbage argument.

I love how you completely changed what I said....and I'm assuming you can read correct? You accuse ME of degrading what people say while giving them a free pass?!?

The question was "are Kickoffs" more dangerous and they are period, end of story, not debate....that's what I responded too, again period...I love how you missed that.

Now....are you not aware that this whole entire board right now is sick and tired of the rotten, degrading way in which the critic expresses their disdain for our program?!?!? If your answer is no then you are completely unaware of your surroundings and your opinion is meaningless. If its yes, then you know why I do it....

Finally Scout could not name ONE person or thread where someone suggested they wouldn't miss Wadely. I would guess he is referring to past people suggesting they'd miss Daniels as much as Wadley...

He is a liar and clueless.

Listen jack wad, I didn't say that. The more YOU play, thye more likley you are to get injured. Be stupid if you want, but that's all on you.......and if he got injured on KR, this board would have come unglued, you know, I know it, everyone knows it. Period!!!

i have been ripping Vberg all year. Slow and not quick. Barely can get to the ball much less return it. Case in point, Wisconsin game.

Saban thinks special teams is critical and puts his best players at punt return and kick offs.

Kirk is a dummy.

I’m not trying to discount your point of putting our play makers on return teams BUT to use Saban and Alabama? A program where almost every player in the 2 deeps is likely a 4 or 5 star? There’s a reason he’s not concerned with the potential for injury.

Funny how everyone forgets that. I heard NOBODY complaining when they took him off kick return then.

Its fricking shocking actually....and another thing I just read is that we were at the bottom of Big 10 return numbers. I assumed maybe he was right and then decided I'd look, 3rd on Kick Offs and 7th on punts...

More and more I'm realizing that these guys aren't only shi&%y, they are liars. Making thins up to further their agenda...

Change of topic slightly:

The fact that "get the ball to Wadley and pray" isn't going to be in the play book n3xt year is scary in and of itself. That dude bailed the coaching staff out atleast 3 games this year.

The guy makes big plays.Even part-time makes huuge sense. As a returner it could have given us a needed Spark in some situation.Like the King "Game changer"

You remember those big Interception sparks in the Wiscy game right?!

Meaning its a team game..Akrum had a few games where he wasn't particular awesome. If you are going to give him credit for winning some games, he needs credit for losing them. See this is where "those" fans lose themselves....they want to give the "player" credit when they are awesome, but its the staffs fault for not designing him "good" plays when he fails...

Be an awesome way to be graded in life. Unfortunately its not reality. The staff quite frankly drew up some awesome stuff for Akrum in that PSU game..and Akrum to his credit, housed it.
