If the GOP wants to rid itself of Trump, it should be cheering this move on.
AND requiring the release of tax returns and divestment of all financial conflicts of interest for all candidates, Democratic or Republican.
So you don't find it disturbing that Trump lied about donating his salary to help people with cancer? That alone is a major bombshell from the release.
Is trump and trump companies one and the same? Did trump 100% control the trump companies? If not, which one other person was 100% in charge? Calling people idiots is pretty trump like.
Just another indicator that the justice system in America is fvcked up. Your company can steal millions...billions...and your role as the leader of that company draws no charges. Meanwhile, a guy stealing $20 of food to feed his family or somebody smoking a joint goes to jail. Hell, selling cigarettes on the street can get you killed.
The right wingers continually have defended trump during his 4 years as president, even while him being impeached twice. trump colluded with the Russians (read the Mueller Report) held needed military weapons from Ukraine while trying to shake Zelinskyy down, downplayed Covid to keep his stock market and economy up while causing 400,000 unnecessary deaths, and on and on and on with his corruptness and crickets.

That may be partially correct and I certainly agree he’s not the brilliant business guy he says he is, but Fred didn’t build Trump Tower or buy those clubs or certainly didn’t purchase Mar a Lago.

On page 4, post #142 you referenced a column by David Hemel in which he makes a case for why the House had the authority to make the returns public. He simultaneously made a case for which he felt they shouldn’t.

Ummm...you claimed Trump had entered his businesses into a blind trust. That was a full-throated defense of TRUMP...there's no "conservative position" there. It also happened to be completely wrong. The "bullsqueeze" is dripping from your posts.
What are conservative positions because I no longer know what they are? Republicans in Congress do not do anything that would be considered a conservative position any more. None of us know what they stand for on any position other than abortion and guns. Otherwise they are against EVERYTHING. I'm more fiscally conservative than they are.

Were they private citizens or organizations? I thought that whole dust up was the GOP trying to show that the IRS was discriminating against conservative orgs seeking tax-exempt status. I don’t recall any individual taxpayers being involved. I could be wrong though.
Yes...my mistake...it was 51 different private entities. I corrected it above. George K. Yin UVA School of Law wrote an analysis at the time that slammed the GOP.
