The Truth About Cancer

Some people prefer having a "doctor" pour pharmaceutical battery acid in their body and then burning their tissue with lethal concentrated doses of radiation.

Just the ones that want to treat their cancer.

It's not ideal, but it's what we have. And every day we're making progress with biologics and genetically tailored therapies.

Sorry I had to respond again. I just don't understand you people who think you're thinking for yourselves while everyone else is unaware and just standing in line. Congrats, you've bucked the ordinary. Because pharma is in it for the cash, that means that doctors are lying to you. Because the government is conducting war, they've orchestrated all the causes. Because some things you thought were true turned out not to be, nothing is.

Ahhh, yes. That's all we have. Hey, if you want to go with the wonderful chemotherapies that do just as much, if not more, damage to the healthy parts of your body, fine. I won't go so far as to call those treatments "nonsense." But, I'm also not so butt-blind that I call alternative treatments, that have worked, nonsense either. I've seen just as many people die from doctoring that died from malignant tumors.

I'm glad you got all of that out of your system.

Do you know what they call alternative medicine that works and holds up to research? Medicine.

I've seen a lot of people (and a lot more in recent years) beat the hell out of previous survival rates because of the advancements in chemotherapy. Sorry it didn't work for whoever you lost. Doesn't mean you're not an idiot. I hope your mechanic gouges you.

I will be healthy my entire life. But, thanks for the good wishes.

I didn't "lose" anyone. I know where everyone is, that I'm associated with, anyway.

Solid response.

I must congratulate you. It's about as thoughtless and unintriguing as most of your posts, but about 2 paragraphs shorter. Good work.
Well, I'm glad you noticed and pay close attention to my contributions.

Example why people don't think they need health insurance. Some people just aren't too sharp.
Ps. I will never have a bad day in my life either.

And exactly what evidence do you have that these alternative treatments work? Testimonials? Your neighbor's cousin's sister's best friend's mom took it and beat cancer?

Eat your apricot seeds and call me in the morning...assuming you're still alive.

It's my buddy!

So nothing...just more of your nonsense. That's what I thought.
Well, the OP offered quite a few. But, they don't align with your preferred method of treatment, so you'll pass them off as being quackery, or idiots, or whatever else helps you feel justified. You have what you trust and others have what they trust.

Prove to me that chemotherapy and radiation doesn't destroy healthy tissue as well. If you like the odds of that risk, awesome. Good for you. If others find alternative ways that they believe work, why is it absolutely necessary to denigrate them?

Of course it does. That's explained to everyone prior to treatment. You're battling your own body. The therapies used attack the fastest growing cells - cancer - but you can't isolate cancer cells from the body. As for denigrating others...nope...that's you. And your alternative therapies kill quite a few, as well. Their belief doesn't make laetrile suddenly work.

No, they don't hold up to actual research. If someone made a video claiming that using buttplugs and eating organic horse manure (after all, it's all natural!) prevents and cures cancer, would you believe that too?

I would believe it worked for them, if they believe it did. Would I follow their course? No.

Holy crap. So all it takes for you to believe something is for someone to claim it and believe it themselves? I've been giving you way too much credit.
If THEY think it worked for them, then fine. That doesn't mean I would do it myself, because they said it worked for them. If they believe it worked for them, then I believe that THEY believe it. That's all. It doesn't mean I necessarily believe it worked like they claim. It doesn't mean I don't. I do see an abundance of arguments for and against all kinds of treatments. I can about equally for, or against, all of them, from a personal perspective.

Ahhh...so you misspoke? Now, what does their belief have to do with anything? It either worked or it didn't. Right? Shouldn't THAT be how we evaluate treatments?

Or you misunderstood. But, we'll go with I misspoke, because you don't make mistakes. Shame on me.

If you determine something works, for whatever reason, and you feel compelled to use it for yourself... go for it. How "we" evaluate treatments is a bit more tricky. What may work for me, might not work for you. But, what worked for you is no less valid because it didn't work for me.

Medicine and alternative medicine be damned. Prayer works 100 percent of the time in successful cases.

and it's gods plan if the outcome is unsuccessful. All of the praise, none of the blame. god has a pretty good gig. Also, if a negative outcome is based on Gods plan, why pray for an outcome that might be opposite of that plan?
