The defense looked on their heels a bit in the first half, out of position, getting blocked against the run but they slowly tighted things up.

They only gave up 3 fgs, no TDs against a Big Ten opponent which is great. Cooper's INT probably saved a score, a FG try at least. Xavier came up with some bigs hits and stops, pass break ups, I think one of his more active games start to finish. They took the run game mostly away from msu after that crazy fumble return for a td.

Higgins was all over the place again. The review of that long 3rd down run by msu when the hawks blitzed right past the runner was huge. It was poor defense by the hawks but then they stuffed the 4th down sneak and got a FG.

I have to say that was a stupid call by interim head coach of msu, or as Gary Dolphin called him the "acting interim head coach", WHAT, how are you an acting interim head coach?? haha just have to laugh

Somehow we have one of the best coordinators in the country and one of the worst.

Phil Parker deserves a statue outside Kinnick for keeping the program relevant amidst the delusion and incompetence of the Ferentz family, Brian as an Offensive Coordinator and Kirk for his complete failure as the head of the program to recognize and appropriately address his dumbass son’s complete and total failure week in and week out.
