12-2. B1G championship game. 1 7th round draft pick and a top 10 national finish. Shows how solid coaching is at Iowa.
It does show the strength of coaching and it also shows the importance of culture - which is also developed and driven by the coaching staff but executed by the character of the players within the program! Love what we have going as a program!12-2. B1G championship game. 1 7th round draft pick and a top 10 national finish. Shows how solid coaching is at Iowa.
Speaks volumes for the experience they are having within the program! And also to the type of character we are recruiting - 5 Star high-character student-athletes!Our best players want to stay with the team as long as possible....OSU's want to get away(and of course cash in) ASAP.

Yea I don't agree at all with the premise of the OP. We had a monumental failure season into thousand 14, but had a bunch of guys drafted, including the top five draft pick in scherff. Some years are talent over performance, so music underperforms, some years the talent is underclassmen. We should be represented very well in next years draft.
Why doesn't it bode well?Yeah, I agree with this. Minus all the typing errors of course. Doesn't bode well for next season.
I don't agree with your post because I couldn't understand what you were saying half the time...........Yea I don't agree at all with the premise of the OP. It has more to do with the type of talent/athlete we go after as opposed to OSU....I am completely fine with how we do things at Iowa, but lets not kid ourselves here....we would all be ok with being where OSU is at this pointOur best players want to stay with the team as long as possible....OSU's want to get away(and of course cash in) ASAP.

Could be?? But my best guess is a much different culture!Well didn't 5 of their guys go in the first round. That probably has something to do with it

And how do you know they weren't getting paid already?Yeah, they want to get paid.

My my what a difference a year makes. Last year at this time, the entire Iowa staff was completely incompetent and living in the dinosaur era of college football with MAC-level recruits.
You paint with a broad brush, my friend. This Hawkeye fan didn't follow that line of thinking, at all. Nada, none nyet
How do you know they were?
Well one flat out admitted he was paid but I guess we could all be naive and believe that the payments started and stopped with the Left Tackle at Ole Miss.
My bad!
Nope, not accepted. Go back to fishing, we will talk in November.
Does Mo Clarrett admitting he got paid do anything for the argument?
Not to be Debbie downer but it is also an indictment of the schedule we played.12-2. B1G championship game. 1 7th round draft pick and a top 10 national finish. Shows how solid coaching is at Iowa.
Or Troy Smith? ( I believe he was one connected with some under the table dough as well, whether he admitted it or not I don't recall, but I believe it was him that got some "green" handshakes while at fOSU).Does Mo Clarrett admitting he got paid do anything for the argument?
Biggest problem with OSU is they picked the right guy in Urban Meyer. Only a mistake in choosing a poor coach would keep that program down.
