This loss is on Fran...

Looking at the entire picture I believe Hoiberg has a winning record vs Fran , even though coaching at inferior schools, and while at nebraska with much more inferior players

That doesn’t always mean squat tho - last years game at Nebraska, along with rest of our road games last year (had that weird home/road split with our shooting) where we couldn’t find the ocean from 3.

And then they beat Purdue and turn around to get beat by us a few days later.

Fact remains, Hoiberg has a winning record vs Fran, while Fran has multiple #1 NBA draft picks on his roster,
and Hoiberg did it a Nebraska no less that has a negative BB pedigree

to me it indicates Hoiberg consistently beats Fran with lesser players and with lesser programs,

hard not agree with those 2 points

If you’re including his ISU record sure, but he also had much more talented teams there was well. At Nebraska I’m not sure what his record is vs Iowa.

Get out of here with this crap

Freeman is benefitting big time from Iowa's better guard play this year. He moves very well in the post to receive passes for easy field goals, and the guards are finding him. He has some work to do on learning to create his own shot and shooting outside 10 ft. He also needs another 10-15 lbs of muscle. Owen is already good, but he will become a potential all-B1G player, if he can do that.

Once Dembele gets comfortable playing at this level and the zebras start giving him a little respect, I think he will be Iowa's best interior defender. Add in the incoming freshmen (Koch is a really good stretch 4), and I really like Iowa's front court for the next few years.
Iowa hasn’t had guard play like this in decades. Dix and Freeman are bringing it. Just crazy it took half the season to have them start together.
