This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Now it's 334/day for the 100k target
364 for a 12/24 'Christmas Morning' date.

Looking exceedingly likely that will be reached a day or two before Christmas, as there have been few days with <350 orcs KIA. I think the recent running average is still nearly 500/day
By my calcs, we will need to average 400/day for the christmas eve morning estimates to hit 100K. I would set the over/under for 100K for December 24. Could see some big days making it the 23rd, and some slow days making it the 25th.

Yep. Morning of 12/24 is the 12/23 tally, 10 days away. That's 400.
For Christmas AM (12/24 report), it's 364

I agree, that unless things slow significantly, the morning of 12/23 or 12/24 is looking very likely.

It's going to national security, which is the same thing support for Ukraine is doing. Destroying the army of our geopolitical adversary for a pittance of $$.
Like I said, budget it and I'm on board.
It's not going to Ukraine (much like the $500m for farmers) so it shouldn't be in the aid package.

You have to imagine that's not a fail, but someone at the station intentionally wanting to broadcast that message. It's not like that's a live interview. That's edited and released. Someone approved that and was happy with that message to go out to all Russians showing that Ukranians are good people. Somebody is likely needing to watch out for open windows.

Probably just more demonstrating to keep Ukraine troops there. I suspect if they try anything, they will experience HIMARS almost immediately.

If they haven’t already, Ukrainian army should simply replace real HIMARS near the Belarusian border with inflatable replicas. I doubt Belarus is going to do anything anyway after witnessing Russia get their ass handed to them daily for close to a year.

I still fear Russia will force them into the war. The Belarus Foreign Minister dropped dead unexpectedly a month ago which may have been a message from Putin.
I agree it would help Ukraine if they could use the forces tied down there, elsewhere on the fronts.

"The Georgian Legion (volunteers fighting alongside Ukraine) liquidates a Wagner unit (pro-Russian organization) near Bakhmut, Ukraine. (The fiercest battles are currently taking place in the Bakhmut region.)"

I have less than zero sympathy for mercenaries. Kill 'em all.

I have no insight but I would imagine that when troops are rotated back from the fronts, they might get rotated to the Kiev region for R&R, and also there for support in the unlikely event Russia's Mini-Me does shit.

Lock them up.....err..hang them!

"The Justice Department has charged five Russian nationals and two US nationals for allegedly conspiring to violate US sanctions by smuggling US-made equipment to the Russian military, according to a recently unsealed indictment.

According to the 16-count indictment, the defendants were associated with two Moscow companies that worked with the Russian Federal Security Service to purchase and smuggle sanctioned items — including semiconductors and other electronic equipment — from the US to the Russian military.

The seven individuals – Yevgeniy Grinin, Aleksey Ippolitov, Boris Livshits, Svetlana Skvortsova, Vadim Konoshchenok, Alexey Brayman and Vadim Yermolenko – “unlawfully sourced, purchased and shipped millions of dollars in military and sensitive dual-use technologies from US manufacturers and vendors located in the Eastern District of New York and elsewhere for Russian end users,” the indictment says. 2 US Nationals?

Hang those ***kers.

America is right now getting back to where it was supposed to be, right from the beginning of its history. To being a beacon of hope, democracy, and the pursuit of happiness. Right now, America, when it comes to Ukraine, is doing the right thing.
‘From the beginning of its history’?

July 4th, 1821:

[America] has abstained from interference in the concerns of others, even when conflict has been for principles to which she clings, as to the last vital drop that visits the heart.
She has seen that probably for centuries to come, all the contests of that Aceldama the European world, will be contests of inveterate power, and emerging right.
Wherever the standard of freedom and Independence has been or shall be unfurled, there will her heart, her benedictions and her prayers be.
But she goes not abroad, in search of monsters to destroy.
She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all.
She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.
She will commend the general cause by the countenance of her voice, and the benignant sympathy of her example.
She well knows that by once enlisting under other banners than her own, were they even the banners of foreign independence, she would involve herself beyond the power of extrication, in all the wars of interest and intrigue, of individual avarice, envy, and ambition, which assume the colors and usurp the standard of freedom.
The fundamental maxims of her policy would insensibly change from liberty to force....
She might become the dictatress of the world. She would be no longer the ruler of her own spirit....
[America’s] glory is not dominion, but liberty. Her march is the march of the mind. She has a spear and a shield: but the motto upon her shield is, Freedom, Independence, Peace. This has been her Declaration: this has been, as far as her necessary intercourse with the rest of mankind would permit, her practice.
