This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

Fleecing soldiers for money in order to not be shipped to war zone. The nation of Russia really is the worst. Reasons like this may be why Natty light stopped posting here.
I want to have sympathy for the Russian grunts. But the reality is Russia had a chance to turn the corner from the cronyism, the oligarchs and the graft. From 1992 (or so) on there was plenty of open information about the west available to them. As a nation they looked the other way despite the overwhelming global evidence that there is a better path.

So, while it is horrific for the Russian men put in a bad position, I celebrate every Ukrainian advance. I simply don’t see another path except for Russia to feel such pain that they collectively decide to adopt a new more peaceful way forward.

I mean, sometimes judge smails was right…
“Danny, Danny, there's a lot of, uh, well, badness in the world today. I see it in court today. I've sentenced boys younger than you to the gas chamber. Didn't wanna do it, but felt I owed it to them.”

Some of these stories would indicate to me that Russia doesn't have the capability to organize a big offensive anytime soon.

It's strictly propoganda to force Ukraine to deploy forces and change the plan for any counter offensive.

Fvck Russia.

That makes more sense to me than them broadcasting it as much as they were. A bit of a bluff.

I look forward to this post every day now. Weekdays it’s usually at my 7 o’clock break, weekends usually later. I know where to find the info on twitter but refuse to do so. It’s become a tradition.

It feels a little weird but I root for 1,000 per day and it feels like a letdown if it dips below 800 at this point. Seeing tanks and or artillery hit double digits gives me a little high for the day also.

"Drone tactics again. An example of cooperation of infantry and an armed drone in assaulting trenches. Unfortunately, the problem may be the necessary communication between the assault and the operator, which is not as common as one would like."

I think we've seen Russia's "big offensive," and it basically amounts to minimal gains at a huge cost

Yeah, I had the same bit of conflict initially, but as soon as we saw the video from Bucha, Mariupol, the stories about children being packed up and sent to Russia.... I really stopped caring how may Russians were dying per day, and am a little disappointed when the numbers dips into the low hundreds.
