This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

On Russian television, confusing viewers is ultimate the goal: "When you don't trust anything, you don't act"

Russian propaganda is frighteningly effective. The brainwashing of these people is more than complete. Though our lemmings are nowhere near this bad, I now understand why many Americans are the way they are.

Russian and Ukrainian forces are fighting in the streets of Bakhmut - but Russia does not control the eastern city, its deputy mayor has said.
Oleksandr Marchenko also told the BBC the remaining 4,000 civilians are living in shelters without access to gas, electricity or water.
Mr Marchenko said "not a single building" had remained untouched and that the city is "almost destroyed".

The Institute for the Study of War said the Ukrainian army had blown up bridges in Bakhmut, which might indicate they are "seeking to inhibit Russian movement" as they make a "controlled fighting withdrawal"

Ukraine has been allegedly on the cusp of losing Bakhmut for 2 weeks now even though Russia would have to advance about 6 miles in order to make that happen. iirc Ukraine has been killing Russians at a rate of 7:1 in Bakhmut during that timespan

2 plus months not weeks. A naturally well defended honeypot killing tens of thousands of orcs. I sometimes wonder if the Russians think the Ark of the Covenant is hidden there.

Where do you get the 7:1 number?

As Russian troops closed in on Bakhmut, saving citizens from the besieged Ukrainian city became a deadly gamble.

Those who came to their rescue said often their success and survival was simply "a miracle".

One of the young men who risks death to bring people to safety is 21-year-old Svyat, who only wants to be known by his nickname for fear of becoming a target for Russians.

"You can not only hear the explosions constantly, but they fall all around you," he told the ABC from outside an evacuation centre at the conclusion of another mission into Bakhmut

That is MTG level of crazy right there. That is literally the sentiments that she expresses as a member of Congress.
Crazy.
