As I said last post it would be “Russian” for them to utilize civilians as a tool to escalate the war. I have zero problem with Ukraine sinking a Russian vessel but I would think Russia would use that aggression as a reason for escalation.
Civilians lured into vacationing to the front lines transported by a Russian warship reminds of homer being lured to the police station with the promise of a new boat.
I imagine the Russian propaganda machine is strong enough that the Russian population doesn’t even know Crimea is/will be a war zone.
Or Russian are delusional enough to not even care and will go there regardless
