An unknown number of Ukrainian children have been taken to Russia. The low estimate seems to be 19,000. I think I'll mention this in my next email to MMM. Maybe she'll mention it to Speaker Johnson.

Trump can get remain in Mexico up and running but Biden is so useless he is unable to even reinstate this policy?
Remain in Mexico is inconsistent with current law, and can be upended/challenged in Court.
Only reason there were other avenues available was Covid restrictions, which no longer exist.
Trump was also going to get Mexico pay for his failed wall, right?
Why do you need Covid restrictions to do your job and secure the border?
Because there is a specific statute that allows for closing borders during pandemics.
That statute was available in 2019-2021. It no longer applies.
Biden and Senate Republicans negotiated new border laws that MAGAs would not pass because Trump told them not to. Serious Republicans claimed this was one of the best updates to immigration laws in decades. Biden would have signed it.
It would have eliminated the need for challenge-able Exec Orders, and allowed for more resources at the border.
Troops still have to follow the law and accept into the country anyone making an asylum claim.
The Biden/Senate Republican Bill would fix that by limiting daily claims to the number increased detention and hearings capacity would allow. From "catch and release" to "detain and deport," according to Bill author Republican Senator Lankford.

No idea what is really going on. I do know for fact that Ukraine takes miserable care of children in the orphanage system. At last count there were over 100k children in orphanages. Given the amount of territory, 19000 is about right. Most get kicked out at 16 and to to a combo HS/jr college but many end up being trafficked.

Ukraine probably can't afford the luxury being able to worry about the supply and maintenance problems of 4 different types of aircraft. (Soviet, F16, Viggen or Gripen and Mirage.)

2 years in and Ukraine still has no air assets online. Haven't seen anything confirming it will happen by summer either.
