This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

If the "west" hadn't supported Ukraine they would have been "wrecked" in feb-mar of 2022 wouldn’t have been invaded.
FTFY.
There was no Russian threat to invade Ukraine before the U.S. supported a deadly insurrection in 2014.

If the Chinese government overthrew the Mexican government for one more amenable to their interests, I think it would change the American stance toward Mexico to a more hostile one.

I think in the end it would probably get Mexico ‘wrecked’.

I said ENOUGH R's would support it if it came to a vote.

That's still the case IMO.
No; this is what you shifted your argument to.

If they truly supported it, they'd get it done. You continue to be grifted by folks who say one thing, and do the opposite. And you keep defending them. It's rather baffling.

No, that's what I've been saying since before McCarthy was ousted. I haven't shifted.
All folks have to do is look at the votes...there's enough R support.

But it's got to be team blue/team red on this and that doesn't help Ukraine in the least moving forward. In fact, trying to make this a Red/Blue is detrimental. Call out the individual R's...great.

If continued Ukraine aid is a priority I'm not seeing a good chance of that if McCarthy gets tossed.

Honestly it's got to be very enticing for the D's to say F McCarthy to put the R's in disarray but I don't think the result will be good for Ukraine. Call me crazy.

One of the reasons Gaetz wants him tossed is he apparently made a "secret" deal in regards to Ukraine funding. There are still plenty of R votes for Ukraine funding but not enough to overcome the idiot caucus. They need D support for that.

There will be plenty of opportunities to stick it to McCarthy in the next 15 months...get funding for Ukraine out of the way first then have at it.

Ukraine is still receiving us aid from previous appropriations. JFC.

Last Ukraine vote in the house was 120y-90n amongst R’s so there’s still enough support to get something through. Depends on what Johnson does…

"The 1,000-acre site near Usk has been an arms manufacturing plant since 1940 when it began producing munitions during World War II. It is currently operated by defence contractor BAE systems.

The site takes empty ammunition bodies from BAE’s plant at Washington, Tyne and Wear and fills them with explosives, making artillery shells and charges. BAE says it supplies 80% of the armed forces’ general munitions for training and operations.

A BAE Systems spokesperson said: "We can confirm that there was an incident at our Glascoed facility in Wales this morning. Tried and tested safety protocols were immediately enacted and emergency services attended the site. All personnel are accounted for and there were no injuries. Our emergency response team continue to monitor the facility and a full investigation has been launched.”

Except, there is NOT enough support to get something through.

Yet, here you are, defending Republicans as though their hands are completely tied on this one...
There's enough support if it's brought to a vote.

How is stating that "defending republicans"?

For the love of everything, how you keep defending this shit is numbing. You are defending Republicans because you outright to refuse Republicans solely are the reason its not brought to a vote and have turned a blind eye for years.

It will be the greatest stain on the Republican party if their failures cause Ukraine to fall and didn't end Russia once and for all when we had a chance. The Republican party up to the day in 2015 when Trump hijacked it, would not believe where we are 9 years later.

Oh I agree it's Johnson's fault it hasn't been brought to a vote.

Hopefully friday.

Hoping it isn't this bad...

"Russian Milblogger writes that the now dramatically weaker Ukrainian air defense not only allows closer deployments of CAS, but also better drone reconnaissance, thus more effective artillery and, above all, better counter-battery fire. In addition, helicopter landings behind enemy (Ukrainian) positions are now conceivable."

Just waiting for Democrats to get serious about stopping the invasion of the United States.
Don't you mean you're waiting for the MAGA Trump Republicans to get serious?

Biden said he will sign this. Democrats in the Senate and House will pass it. Trump and Johnson refuse to bring it to a vote:

Republican Senator Lankford's Border Security Act:

“The border security bill will put a huge number of new enforcement tools in the hands of a future administration and push the current Administration to finally stop the illegal flow. The bill provides funding to build the wall, increase technology at the border, and add more detention beds, more agents, and more deportation flights. The border security bill ends the abuse of parole on our southwest border that has waived in over a million people. It dramatically changes our ambiguous asylum laws by conducting fast screenings at a higher standard of evidence, limited appeals, and fast deportation.

“New bars to asylum eligibility will stop the criminal cartels from exploiting our currently weak immigration laws. The bill also has new emergency authorities to shut down the border when the border is overrun, new hiring authorities to quickly increase officers, and new hearing authorities to quickly apply consequences for illegal crossings. It changes our border from catch and release to detain and deport."

Why do you support Republicans blocking this? Are you really that naive or just a damn sucker and a fool?

LOL

What does this even mean?

What does ‘end[ing] Russia once and for all’ look like?

I said that if it comes to the floor and gets voted on there's enough R votes along with the D's to get it passed.

That still holds true.

Unfortunately the tossing of McCarthy delayed that by quite a bit. Hopefully it hits the floor this Friday.
The GOP was circling the drain before they took out their own leader. McCarthy was not out pushing for aid, or even nudging things along and allowing for votes of conscious.

You said Republicans would support it.

They have stonewalled support now for >6 months. Quit voting for them. Any of them. Until they clear the Russian sympathizers out of their party.

Reagan would be ashamed at what his party has become. You, apparently, are not.
It's been longer than 6 months since Congress weighed in. Maybe the majority of Republicans want to vote for aid, but there are no profiles in courage in their ranks. My own MMM is a meek little mouse, too frightened of the cult to publicly push for aid. Her responses to my emails are glowing with support for aid to Ukraine. Publicly she's quiet.

More information about Chinese banks shying away from dealing directly with Russia. Western sanctions are having an effect. Every extra layer of effort the Russians have to put forth, and every delayed payment is a help to Ukraine. There is only so much they can route through North Korea, Belarus, and crooked Persian Gulf and Turkish banks.

Gaetz made his motion to vacate because of McCarthy’s “secret deal” on Ukraine.

McCarthy had a B- Ukraine grade…Johnson had a F at that time.

McCarthy would have been better for Ukraine than Johnson IMO.
