I'm starting to see no way out of this for Russia. Exactly. If this goes to its logical end, Russia ends up a third world pariah state, and at best can hope to become a vassal state of China.

It will take months to years, but eventually every nation in Europe and the Americas, will be able replace Russian oil, and they will have almost literally nothing with only China to buy.

At some point you have to wonder when the oligarchs and generals around Putin decide that this endgame can't be allowed to happen.

This is exactly what Xi wants. A Russia shunned by the rest of the world forced to sell its immense resources to China for a fraction of their worth.

This could be caused by the west for all we know but given Russia's propensity to lie, it doesn't matter. This was inevitable and a major miscalculation by Putin. The victor is going to write the history and all it's going to say is that in Round 1 with Crimea, Russia shot down civilian planes. In Round 2, a civilian airline was targeted and given Russia's history of shooting down civilian planes, this was viewed as a precursor for attacking civilians again.

Every day Zelensky is in power the worse this gets for Putin. His soldiers are learning the truth. The world is learning the truth.

South American and Southeast Asia hate the United States, and they all blame Russia for this, not NATO.
