This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

I keep hoping we are letting Russia blow its wad and burn itself out before acting. If we jump in with a No Fly Zone and air power, I can't see this lasting more than another 24 hours.
It will last longer and Russia will probably "capture" Kiev, but that doesn't mean it will be over. It just means it will enter a new phase.

I see China and Russia now proposing "talks" in Minsk. I'm sure this is in accordance with their joint strategy and would set a model for a Chinese invasion of Taiwan. I have no doubt this is part of the pre-determined game plan.

I think Ukraine and the West should reject this and demand all Russian troops leave Ukraine's internationally recognized borders before any "talks" take place.

If Russia rejects this then continue with an insurgency and grind Russia down in Ukraine and at home.

As long as the Ukrainians are willing to fight, we should support them in any way we can. Going to the bargaining table with Putin is a lost cause as any agreement Putin signs is garbage anyway. He will never follow it. NATO needs to figure out ways to get the Ukrainians more weapons and prolong the fight as long as possible. I agree that a Kiev take over just means a new chapter of this war is started. I think these people are tougher than just about anyone on the planet and they will never give up.

I don't think his military leaders advised that this was a good idea. Most are as corrupt as Putin is, but they most likely nodded along as he gave orders.
I think their heads will still roll. Putin will have to throw someone under the bus....oops tank.

Wrong-I have made numerous posts in this thread alone that some of these poor bastards being mislead into war give hope that they may be able to get some to quit fighting. You have a history for YEARS being pro Russian
Why do you assume someone that can explain a viewpoint MUST hold that viewpoint?

Are you incapable of articulating a position you don't hold?

I think Russia's aggression against Ukraine is wrong.
Same way I think that Saudi Arabia's aggression and regime change efforts in Yemen are wrong.
I could tell you why the King of Saudi Arabia thinks it would be a good idea to hand select the leadership of Yemen, but that wouldn't mean I agreed with it.

Do you think Saudi Arabia's regime change efforts in Yemen, and the slaughter that has followed, are ok, since we fix their planes and sell them the bombs?
I don't. I think it's the same shameful display of man's inhumanity to man that history is replete with.

There will be a constant flow of weapons into Ukraine via land. There is no way Russia will be able to prevent that. I am certain that the CIA is now working with Ukrainian partisans to execute pre-determined plans to do just that.

Bro-you been so pro Russia for so long your HROT nick name is "FSU Nat". Anyone else, I would not say anything, or heck maybe even agree. But coming from you? Nah, going to call it out for you once again trying to inject sympathy to Russians.

So you're saying that the CIA is colluding against Russia?

Boy, is this going to piss off Trump and his MAGAs.

Somebody cue FOX News.

God allowed Hitler to choose evil but I don't think He would allow another nuclear war.

Why do you keep typing this shit? The Saudis are on the ELECTED GOVERNMENT'S SIDE you dumbass. They are bombing the Houthi minority, which captured and forced the legitimate, UN recognized government out of the capital:

The seven-year-old conflict in Yemen is between the internationally recognized government, which is backed by a Saudi-led military coalition, and Houthi rebels supported by Iran.

Now boy, you go fry up some squirrel and acorn stew while you wait for your Tucker program to come on and find out what Moscow wants you to think.

I get it.
I bring up the same uncomfortable shit our country does abroad that Nat would.
I don't wear blinders, or share the 'my country, right or wrong' mindset.

But can you quote something you consider 'pro Russia'?

I commented on those guys getting shot up because it has been asserted that small arms are useless against a standing army.

Their plight reminded me of the scenes in Blackhawk Down, where the truck convoy is being shot to pieces and the guys are lost.
Another similar real life event was what happened to that supply convoy that got lost in Nasiriyah:

At around 06:00 on the morning of 23 March, an 18-vehicle convoy of 31 soldiers of the United States Army's 507th Maintenance Company and two soldiers of the 3rd Forward Support Battalion of the 3rd Infantry Division missed a turn onto Highway 8 and mistakenly continued along Highway 7 into the city. The convoy was led by Captain Troy King, a supply officer with little combat training. Iraqi technical vehicles began shadowing the convoy as it passed an Iraqi checkpoint near the Euphrates River. After passing the Al-Quds headquarters on the northern outskirts of the city, King realized that he was lost and the convoy began turning around to retrace its steps through the city.

As the convoy turned left on to Highway 16. At about 07:00 it began to receive sporadic small arms fire, the source and direction of which could not be determined. The ambush was unlikely to have been set up in advance, because the Iraqis did not know which course the convoy would take. In the resulting chaos, the 507th became divided into three smaller groups as it attempted to move south, out of Nasiriyah.[3] The first element of the convoy (known in the official U.S. Army report as Group 1) made it through unscathed, and continued south to meet up with the Marines. Group 2 also made it through the kill zone, although their vehicles were badly damaged and had to be abandoned. Group 3 encountered road barriers and was defeated.

So it wasn't actually what I said, but your preconceptions.
Got it.

Mods, can we change his name to Natty Lite?

Why do you keep typing this shit? The Saudis are on the ELECTED GOVERNMENT'S SIDE

You think a single candidate election where the candidate was selected by the Gulf Monarchies is some kind of democracy we're helping defend?
It was regime change compelled under fire from M-1 tanks and F-15Es that we supply and maintain.

Are you unaware of these facts? Did you read the Obama statement on the 'election' in 2012 and think it was actually a democracy of any sort?

They are bombing the Houthi minority, which captured and forced the legitimate, UN recognized government out of the capital:

How much do you think you know about what has, and is, happening there?
This five year old primer is a good start.
