This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

I wonder if they have the equivalent of the Russian battle police who shoot you if you don't follow orders.

And will this get Macron to start thinking about sending in French troops again. I know he got a lot of push back before but the situation seems to be getting worse no matter how much the West tries to appease Putin. (Which is what many of us have been saying-Putin only understands force.)
I don't know about boots on the ground, but I remain convinced that France might lead an effort to establish an umbrella over at least part of Ukraine if the US wobbles under a Trump Administration. Poland and Romania would probably be okay with forward bases on their soil. I can see deploying enough assets to make taking Kyiv or Odessa impossible for Russia.

I think I read where this was the second highest level of casualties since the war began.

And all of these American idiots who support Trump and don't think Putin is a bad guy apparently cannot comprehend how many hundreds of thousands of Russian lives he's wasted here.

This is what you'll get in America if you put a dictator in charge, who has no respect for the lives of any of his/her constituents. Or the military members.

"The United States military is relocating armored vehicles from Germany to a base near Poznań, Poland, as part of efforts to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank, reports Radio Zet.

Residents of the Lubuskie and Greater Poland voivodeships have observed increasing tanks and combat vehicles on local roads. However, regional authorities assure that “this transport is not caused by any current events,” according to the report.

The movement is part of a planned operation to relocate US Army military equipment. The US Army is currently moving equipment and vehicles from military bases in Germany to warehouses in Powidz.

Previously stored at a military warehouse in Mannheim, the transferred equipment will significantly bolster the US presence in Poland.
“87 tanks, over 150 infantry fighting vehicles, and 18 self-propelled howitzers will be stationed at the American base in Powidz,” the report states.

This relocation is part of the US armed forces’ effort to strengthen NATO’s eastern flank. The Powidz base’s strategic importance is highlighted by its proximity to an airport, “which makes it possible to instantly transfer equipment by air along with ammunition if necessary,” according to the report." POWIDZ, Poland – Now that operations are underway at the newest, most modern Army Prepositioned Stocks worksite in the world, the next step in the process is inventorying the thousands of equipment pieces, there. This includes Abrams tanks and Bradley fighting vehicles as well as dozens of 20-foot storage and shipping containers full of equipment stock, supplies, shop parts, and tools, and a multitude of other tactical and combat wheeled and tracked vehicles, plus more.

Army Field Support Battalion-Poland began the arduous task of inventorying over 1,500 pieces of rolling stock, 120 containers and a total of about 12,000 pieces of equipment at the Powidz APS-2 worksite in Poland, Oct. 21.

C'mon, he's a tough cookie who rules with an iron fist. What's not to love about that?
