This might be a little tougher than Putin thought...

In a war marked by uncertain casualty counts it is significant that Russia used strategic nuclear forces as cannon fodder. In top of the news about Putin outsourcing the war to NK, this does paint a picture of a Russian military unable to sustain its operations. Competently, anyway.

According to figures published by the prosecutor general, 51,000 criminal cases were initiated for desertion and abandonment of a military unit between January and September of this year. That is already double the 24,000 in 2023, and a significant increase on 2022 when there were just 9,000 cases opened.
 
I also wonder what South Korea will do. They don’t like North Korea getting experience, training, and technology as part of this…
And will this get Macron to start thinking about sending in French troops again. I know he got a lot of push back before but the situation seems to be getting worse no matter how much the West tries to appease Putin. (Which is what many of us have been saying-Putin only understands force.)
